Yes. Get the audio books from your local library first though. The lady that reads them is amazing and really brings the story to life. The Outlander series is good too though. We are watching season 2 right now.

Have you read the wheel of time? If so, is Outland similar?

My wife says all my accents sound like a college educated east Tennessee redneck regardless of what I'm trying to mimic.

It sounds like you can't do accents you college educated east Tennessee redneck you. LOL.

I have read WOT. It is nothing like Outlander. Outlander follows a woman from the 1940's that goes back in time to the 1740's through magical stones like Stonehenge and gets caught up in Scottish Highland intrigues and politics. I thoroughly enjoyed both series.

The reason she says that is because I do speak proper english, it's just has that redneck twang to it.

I don't sound like anything from Tennessee but I've developed a hybrid Texas accent. Many natives of DFW are accent-less...so I stick out...even more. :)

So you think 11-7 is acceptable at UT for the women's bball program? At this rate, she will not make the tourney this year. She will be let go before she decides to "leave". UT women's bball bas been a wash and will continue to be a wash until she leaves.

She has some limited equity left after their tourney run last year. The performance this year is not acceptable. I was more saying that there are too many power brokers left who want her to stay. I do agree that she will not get it done and is much more likely to run it further into the ground.

Yes. A little different but virtually indistinguishable unless you speak one or the other.

My southern accent disappears completely when I get around my family from the north woods.

Odd thing I found out while traveling in Wyoming, Montana and the Dakotas. Most of the true natives of those areas of cowboy country have that same accent. I didn't realize how many of the settlers of the Northern plains and Rockies had migrated west from Minnesota and Upper Michigan.

Read the first ten books of TWOT a couple years back. Need to finish.
