"Weinke is believed to have strong interest in the Vols’ job but also is hearing from other NFL teams. The former Heisman Trophy winner, a one-time professional baseball player as well as NFL quarterback, is a former coach at nationally renowned IMG Academy in Florida who has worked with the likes of Teddy Bridgewater, Cam Newton and Russell Wilson, among others."

Insanely misleading quote. He never coached any of those guys. Probably played catch and shot the breeze.

Cam trained with Weinke during the lockout in 2011.

Well, we always knew it was going to be Canales. I hope Butch is making a good decision here, but it doesn't seem like it. The guy was coaching running backs. Doesn't make sense

Seems to me that recruiting is a huge issue right now. Why hire a guy that will most likely have a minimal impact on recruiting? Just my opinion...

Our FORMER QB coach was a dynamo? Oh wait...

He trained all of those QBs at his IMG QB Camp where he coached NFL prospects to get them ready for the NFL. I understand questions about his recruiting and short list of experience but he will get hired somewhere. There's a reason top picks in the draft went to train with him.
