So a top 15 class is acceptable? Well, I guess it is at Vandy or USc, but its not here. Also, if you really want to get down to brass tax, the only reason its top 15 is quantity not quality of commits. Rankings mean nothing though right?
Agree but we are expecting a top SEC team on the field yet we are stocking 2nd tier talent for the most part. 2017 will be an example of that. Not sure how 2018 will stack at this point. We wasted the talent on 2016's team losing to two teams we should have blown out, but didn't.
Well, the bit** fest is out in force. I do agree there is some merit to being concerned about stars. Why is Georgia doing so remarkably well? Is it just the state in which they are located? Why is Florida not? Check out Florida's running back crop. Some of this is staff evaluations and fit as well. Thus, a three star makes more sense to them than us laymen. I'm particularly concerned about WR.
Why do I feel like Butch thinks he's the smartest guy in the room when it comes to recruiting? Like he knows something no one else does? Geesh. Nothing against Ryan, but with this talent, we may be able to compete for MAC championships or life championships.
Butch has to sign someone. He doesn't think he's the smartest recruiter around, he just knows that the top talent has said "thanks but no thanks". We don't want another Dooley situation where he only targets a few top players at a position and signs no one when they turn him down.
Nice offer list. Alabama, Michigan, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Vatech, UVA.
I've also heard he's incredibly smart. He had interest from both Harvard and Yale.
