Poached from Freak's new thread in the FF since most of us rarely go there. I found this very interesting:

Football Looking at Josh Dobbs' stats
I was looking at Dobbs' stats this morning. A few numbers...

-Highest completion percentage in the SEC for quarterbacks with at least 300 attempts. (63%) Not bad for a guy labeled as "inaccurate."

-Highest QB rating (150.6)

-Led the conference in passing touchdowns (27)

-I was surprised to see he was sacked 25 times.

-Think about this: Dobbs was Tennessee's leading rusher in three out of the Vols' last four games (Nebraska, Missouri, Kentucky) and also against Virginia Tech earlier this year.

-He was 17th in the SEC in rushing (831 yards) and tied for 6th in rushing TDs (12)

He will be missed for sure. Really hope he gets a shot in the league. Great player, Great teammate, and most important, Great person.

You guys think the new dorm will help us in recruiting with these visits coming up?

Doubtful.

Hearing they went low bid all around. Not enough outlets, the old lumpy mattresses from N. Carrick, only 1 USB charging port per room, poor fart ventilation (anybody that's lived in a dorm knows how critical it is), and Butch had the wifi cut off so players get the sleep he thinks is necessary.

There are two end result options for Butch and these hires.

He has a new AD coming in that did not hire him which is nerve racking for coaches.

A. He hires the names listed that the fans are not crazy about and makes the fans eat crow.

B. He hires the names listed the fans are not crazy about and falls flat on his face. This would be bad considering the AD situation.

These are the most important hires in his coaching career.

For some reason I'm not getting worked up over these hires. Maybe it's just me.

It's not just you. I'm also keeping an open mind. I believe it's pointless to assume whether a hire will be bad or good before they even coach a down for the team. I am hopeful though that Butch will hire the best guys to run the offense and develop the QBs.

While this year was a disappointment because they didn't win the East, back to back 9 win seasons, 3 straight bowl wins, and ending the 11 game losing streak to the gators is a positive in my book.

Preach... this staff is just average, people need to get a grip and face it... look at all this talent that is being marginally developed at best.... And now Butch is going to continue to get mediocre coaches and slowly deflate this program that looked to be on the rise two years ago. Everyone better get ready for recruiting to take a long-term nosedive... we will be cheering for 3*...

You got all that from my post? Sheesh lol

I hear they added those lamps in hotels that are in the middle with outlets that don't work.

Hey BreakerBoy, how much of a difference can Gullickson make in a 9 month span before the 2017 season? A huge difference or does it take more time at that level to really see an impact?

Just heard from a source that they included those awful hotel universal remotes with the oddly stained buttons along with an ice machine on every floor that sounds like a 737 taking off, but never produces ice.

Doomed, if true. La Quinta Hall will be the downfall of the Big Orange.

2012 = Optimistic as hell about the offense while thinking we stole one from Bama? Most of us though the O would fly and could overcome even the worst D (tho none of us thought D would be that bad). So yeah, not really seeing it.

Coming off a puzzling and disappointing conclusion to the prior season. Coaches leaving en masse, and half of us pretending it doesn't signal the impending doom of the current regime.

I'm just happy they hired the Holiday INN plumbing contractor so the kids either get Liquid hot as **** magma or an antarctic tundra glacier temperatures and nothing in between.

Each unit has their own window AC but the thick blackout curtain always blocks the air and doesn't close all the way so there's a small slit in the curtain to let in the street light directly at eye level on the pillows.

I just hope they installed something in the wall to simulate the sound of an alarm clock permanently going off in the room next door as well as a mini fridge that won't cool a 20oz soda but manages to produce 5 inches of frost on its freezer box, otherwise, what's the point?

Just saw Brett Kendrick had surgery on his ankle this morning. Timetable is 3-4 months and he will miss spring ball. Big chance for some young OL to get some experience and reps.

Saw in the FF that Tennessee has the 2nd best record in the SEC over the past 3 seasons. Someone jokes that it should be ridiculed. FF promptly started ridiculing the stat.
