Guys, I know it's hard and I'm just as guilty as everyone but since we use these threads for reference on particular players we really do try to need to keep them on topic. We have many other areas of the board that encourage off topic chat.

I may start 'cleaning some of these up' if nobody has any objection. I thought maybe we should start having "official player threads" for each player that we really try to keep on topic.

Thoughts?

I'll split this off into a new topic.

Ah, I was just thinking out loud. You all know how long it takes me to get around to doing things around here sometimes. :)

does anyone know if Oku is looking to play right away or what?

Talked to Oku today at the O&W game and asked if he was ready to commit and he had a big grin on his face and kinda acted like he was ready to commit.

I think oku is definitely one of those guys who will take his visits. I don't see this thing ending to atleast the end of the summer. if not longer.

speaking of Logan Thomas, i saw him on the front page of Rvals fb recruiting. what are our chances with this kid, and where does he project at the next level

From a year ago at Auburn camp, he was "real high on AU."

Just like I was at that age, loved attention, and didn't want to disappoint anyone.

The Jones connection does seem huge, but I'm sure he will rave about every visit he goes on.

One of the big names in Knoxville this past weekend was Midwest City, Oklahoma tailback David Oku. Oku was in town with the family of friend and current Vol Gerald Jones. After seeing his friend shine inside Neyland Stadium and meeting several other current Vols, Oku was impressed with his trip to Rocky Top.
