Thig is allegedly a liability in mid-state recruiting, and has not been as effective as his first year in general. Butch knows how important recruiting is at Tennessee and I think this season revealed player development deficiencies when we had to go deep into the depth chart.
Go find the full package. People like money. Open it up and let's go
To be fair though, Michigan gave FSU one hell of a game. FSU obviously had more NFL talent on the field, but Michigan took it to them.
I agree with Penn State and Michigan but Ohio State is stacked and Wisconsin beat a full strength LSU to start the year.
That being said, your prognosis appears accurate so far.
No. If he kicked the XP the first time, they kick an XP the second time instead of two again and the score is still the same.
LSU was just bad to start the season. One game doesn't make a season. And I think the Big 10 hype all season was predicated on that one game.
Ohio State is talented but they are not 2014 talent. I think this years team is good but not great. I expect Clemson to dominate them tonight. I think Ohio State is living off the luster of those super talented 2014 and 2015 teams that sent so many guys to the NFL.
This years Ohio State team is not that talented.
Shouldn't have come to that. They shouldn't have been in need of a 2 point conversion to go up by 3 at the end. Harbaugh severely mismanaged the clock on Florida State's last possession as well. Michigan should've had over a minute with 2 timeouts remaining for their final drive.
He's great at NOTHING..... Good at a lot but Great at nothing.
FSU dominated most of the game. It was mostly mistakes by FSU that let Michigan back in the game. Sorta like how Byrd's fumble on the kickoff let Nebraska back in the game.
For 90% of the game FSU dominated Michigan.
For a season where the Volunteers failed to meet expectations, they sure did leave is with a lot of great memories in the process. The highs were really high and the lows were pretty damn low.As disappointed as I am that we lost to South Carolina and Vanderbilt, I still got some pretty great moments out of 2016. The Battle at Bristol was an incredible spectacle. Being with my dad at Neyland to see us break the streak against the Gators is just about my favorite experience ever as a Vol fan. The Dobbnail Boot was legendary. I got to see Derek Barnett pass Reggie White, and he did it in 3 years. Josh Dobbs has been a fantastic representative of Tennessee and just so much fun to watch. And that was a solid bowl win to end the season on a high note.
Of course improvements are necessary to get the program where it belongs going forward, but all in all, it's great to be a Tennessee Vol. In the dark days I used to just wish I could have a *moment,* something -- anything at all to hang my hat on as a fan. Even with disappointments this year, I got several of those moments and I'm not going to take them for granted.
