The season fell short but that was fun to watch.

The team played well on both ends. Tackled well and rushed well.

Dobbs played one of his best.

Barnett getting the record made me tear up. The team celebrating was awesome.

Jones clearly had a lot riding on this and it showed at the end when he let loose. Especially with some of the players picking him up.

All in all this is exactly what we needed.

This article struck me as: I had my "tennessee loses the bowl game and the sky is now falling in Knoxville" article already written, and now I had to reconfigure it in 15 minutes to account for the win. This is a real attempt to throw water on the fire.

Kongbo showed he has embraced the DT position and should dominate in the future. iMac and Tuttle enough said. Bain earned himself a scholly. Incoming freshman will be a good addition to the position. I am excited about the defense with all of Shoop's knowledge and expertise, but EVERY PLAYER needs to learn it like they are on first team.

Gonna be a mixed bag next year. If we're healthy at DT and we get some guys emerging at DE, both lines should be stout. A lot of experience returning on the OL and we have about 10 guys who have played DT.

LB should be good with McDowell, Sapp, and Kirkland. Secondary is iffy. WR will be fine, but losing Malone would hurt. RB will be good, especially if CFA is a viable third option. TE will be mostly just Wolf again.

The coaching changes will be interesting. I say give me Helfritch and Hoke and a change at OL and DB coach and let's roll. I think JG wins the qb job. East will be bad next year too

If you told me before the season that we would lose the following guys for most/some of the season:

JRM
Kamara
Hurd
O'Brien
KMack
Tuttle
DK Jr.
Sapp
Sutton
Wiesman
McDowell
Hall
Robertson
Foreman
Kendrick

but go 9-4 with wins over VT, UF, UGA, and a bowl win, I would have taken it.

I probably would have too, but losing to USCe and Vandy in the same year is never acceptable.

We had the horses to win both of those games this year.

We BEAT Florida! You negative wankers can disappear for a few days.

The team loves Butch. We witnessed a decimated defense play their butts off for their coach. I have seen players quit on coaches and this wasn't it.
