In the video I recall seeing they were kind of scrapping and the guy did grab his taser or slap it out of his hand.
I heard part of the official statement released but didn't realize it was in reference to this case. Apparently they must have learned hard on reaction time studies because the person I heard on the radio referenced them at least twice.... maybe three times.

What about the recent execution of citizens by cops?

See, this is the sort of bias I'm talking about. When cops kill civilians, it is automatically assumed that the civilians had it coming to them.

Carl, the problem is that the entire report that this cop turned in was a lie from the very beginning. the cellphone video contradicted the cop's story 2-3 days later when it went viral on social media.

You see the problem? A cop's side of the story can live on in the public's mind even after evidence to the contrary is presented.

Unfortunately, more often than not it is ruled as a justified shooting when a cop kills a citizen. The killing of cops is mostly unjustified. Benefit of the doubt is naturally given to cops across the country in a killing as opposed to civilians.

Be realistic here. Cops put their lives on the line every day. Cops receive, normally, situational and weapons training, cops gain very little by shooting another person, etc. Not saying cops can't be malicious or make mistakes but it's rare that it happens.

It is our 9th Amendment right to use or possess drugs or plants. It is amazing that we violate the 9th and 4th Ajendments in order to do anything.
