Well when you have monumental screw ups like losing to a terrible South Carolina and getting your butt kicked by Vanderbilt, you have to expect consequences.

I agree. Many on here act as though OM is a sacred cow. They are a long way from that.

True. But, I seriously doubt Saban would risk NCAA sanctions just to get a given stud player who's a pay-for-play guy. See Robert Nkemdiche. Saban can get another stud instead. No need to take the risk. Just not worth it.

Well, that's face it Saban is God, right? He is the omnipotent ruler of CFB! Just me personally, but the last thing I need is another Bammer on this board reminding me how great Alabama and Saban are and how they're ruling the college world.

Etsuvol is not a OM homer..I honestly have no idea who secking is a fan of. But regardless of that, it just seems like Akers is going somewhere else to me.

Because those classes were attended by regular students not just athletes furthermore none of the coaches were involved with placing their athletes in the class except possibly the women's coach plus this is an academic issue not a sports issue the NCAA deals with the athletics part of college not academia that is governed by another agency. Again if you actually do the research you would see that NCAA has nothing and North Carolina is refusing to bend for them even an inch which is why they gave them another notice of allegation with basically no new evidence just different wording. The NCAA is just posturing for more time

Then why is there an APR? Why can players be ineligible for a semester after a bad academic semester?

I haven't read all about it, but that seems odd. If the NCAA can uphold APR requirements, then institutions can't use sham classes.
