'17' TN ATH Tee Higgins (Clemson commit)

Bama begs to differ.

Also, Watson was the guy that drove that offense. He is a very clutch player with not only his arm but his legs. Hunter Johnson isn't going to be running for 1100 yards like he did last year. Clemson will have to adjust the scheme to HJ.

They aren't Bama.

The kid has until the summer to raise his act score up. Grown men gloating about a low score from a high school kid sounds really pathetic. Do you really think that he won't get the best tutors to help him get that act score up? Sounds a lot like what Preston Williams went through

He's not wrong. Something doesn't feel right about being happy about a low ACT score from a kid not coming here.

It's not directed at Tee, but at Clemson and those who mocked Tn because they took two top in state prospects. Everyone wishes the best for Tee, but all that bragging seems to be for naught

So..Tee and Cordarrion may both flunk and go juco...if that happens for real, then what will the negabutches have to ***** about in state recruiting? Stevens and Philips? One guy who was never gonna come here, and another they didn't want early?

SC and Vandy was plenty to keep the negative vibe flowing....

When he was here on OCD he told CBJ and CZA that he was a Vol and that not to worry. Also told several recruits that as well. So after he committed ti Clemson he laughed and said why would he want to go there when he could go to the real WRu. Kind of ticked the coaches off. Like I said bridges are burned

I don't believe for a second that if he goes JUCO, tears it up and looks like an NFL prospect, and tells the coaches he wants back in at UT, they won't take him.

Which is why I said "near impossible". Clemson isn't Bama.

I don't trust either Brice or Johnson to be near as good as Watson. I think it's going to be around a 9-3 season for them next year.

Agree. Hard to think they lose the best player to ever play at Clemson and don't take a step back

Historically they just haven't been as good as the last few years so seems logical they should regress

And so is Lawrence. But their respective situations are vastly different. We can't ignore that fact. Simply stating that "Eason was a phenom" doesn't change that.

I'm not denying that. But I don't remember a true freshman doing much of anything his first year, in spite of the situation

Jalen Hurts? Obviously, one player doesn't make a team, and Hurts has played well for Bama and not made the dumb plays at QB to lose games for them, but he is supported by an elite defense.

Lawrence may or may not have similar success as a FR (heck, he may not even start as a FR), but if he does, he won't be quarterbacking a .500 team most likely. Clemson has recruited too well and Dabo is too good a coach to let them fall back that much in the ACC. However slightly Clemson falls back, it will be a product of losing several key members, not just Watson. They likely lose Mike Williams, Artavis Scott, Wayne Gallman, Jordan Leggett, etc. There will be an adjustment period, but I don't think they fall off to the middle of the pack in the ACC.

I don't see much gloating about his low score. I certainly am not. Always want young men to be able to take advantage of their opportunities. I hope he is able to take care of his business at JUCO and be successful somewhere.

Dude ain't going to juco. It isn't that hard to get an act score up. Not everybody does well on it at first

#1 It is actually very difficult to raise it significantly, which is what is needed to qualify.

#2 Even if he does, then he just enters a whole new set of problems because the Clearinghouse will be an obstacle. They realize kids don't magically improve an ACT score significantly. Anything more than 4 point improvement will be combed through with a fine tooth comb.
