Unhappy SEC

Im not sold he goes 8-4 either.

I don't see him beating Bama, LSU, or UF

Could also see him losing 2 of UGA, USC, Tech, and Vandy.

It's not just the Dobbs effect...KY has been improving and it is in Lexington ...not positive signs for old brick by brick.

if he adds Kentucky as a L he should be shown the door.

I could see Butch dropping all 6 if the wheels fall completely off

Usually, coaches DO NOT ASK for raises. i review is make and the coach is rated to determine a raise and or extension. If coaches ask for raises they are usually on the way out.

Really? Agents ask for raises for coaches just about every year. It's their job. You just may never hear about it.

Was anybody else on that list 2-2 against Vandy over the last four years ? Did another coach on that list ask for a raise after going 2-2 against Vandy? There's unhappy and then there is embarrassed.

This all day. And I only see the road to the SEC Champ game getting tougher every year. We basically blew 2 straight years to get there. Florida is getting better, and both of Georgias RBs are returning with a top 3 recruiting class. We lost to Muschamp with his crap team and never any excuse to lose to Vandy, that is a home game whether it's in Nashville or Knoxville. Not looking good from here out.

2-3 vs Vandy should end it right after the clock hits 0.

I think his fate will be determined before that game.

Agreed, and I don't think any of us are being to hard on Butch it's just been 4 years he's going to make more questionable decisions than not

Agreed.
The schedule might not be as brutal next season but it's every bit as tough in a season were Tennessee is in transition and nearly every other team in the east took its lumps last season

Georgia Tech is a team that could give us fits, not a good matchup and LSU out of the west. Not looking good.

Yeah it's got a little bit of fall-off to it I think. This year's out-of-conference schedule wound up looking pretty darned respectable. App State won 10 games and tied for first in the Sun Belt. Ohio won the MAC East and took an undefeated, top-20 Western Michigan team to the wire in their conference championship. Virginia Tech won the ACC Coastal and hung in there with Clemson. I don't think Georgia Tech, UMass and Southern Miss will stack up to that. For that matter, I wonder if anyone else in the country played 5 teams that won their conference/division (counting Florida and 'Bama) and came away 4-1 or better.

We won't have another monster stretch like Florida, Georgia, A&M, Alabama next year. We've got the Gators coming off of Indiana State, a bye between Georgia and South Carolina at home. That's my circle date for the year right there. Beat Muschamp at home coming off a bye. Period. If you want to win the East that's a game you have to be banking on.

Then, Alabama heading into the "manageable" part of the schedule, leading up to LSU at home. If anything, I wish we could swap dates between Indiana State and Southern Miss. I imagine we could be getting on down the depth chart against Indiana State a good bit earlier in the game, and playing LSU in the 6th game straight after the bye will be a test of whatever it is we've decided to do with S&C next year. Would've been nice to schedule a scrimmage after we're banged up instead of in September.

8-4 next year and he is still the coach in 2018, don't think next year will seal any fate unless he pulls a 6-6 or worse.:)

We were lucky to make it to 8-4 this year. We had some great players put up tremendous efforts but we never impressed as a whole team. I do LOVE getting the FL monkey off of our back but them being SEC-E champs is a joke. They are not a good team.

I see no reason to predict a win over Vandy next year and I wouldn't bet on the GT game with someones else's money.

We better have tremendous Spring and Fall camps, serious upgrades in S&C and a big turnaround by Shoop if we want to better our 8-4 record. Hope the next QB is legit. Also hope he doesn't have to will the team to victory like Dobbs did at times.

You truly think Tennessee goes on the road and wins against Florida without knowing who the QB is?

Georgia will be out for blood with a two headed monster coming back

That's what i fear the most is the Oline and how good Dobbs made them look. If the next guy doesent have serious wheels it could be a long long season

I am saying if he is 8-4 he is still the coach in 2018. I am not predicting 8-4 just saying if he acheives it he will be around another year!!!

Good point on the bye week before USC. That should pay off bigley.

Be nice to substitute LSU for SCLSU

There better be big changes all around or we will be lucky to win 5 in 2017.

I believe you can count on 3 of the 4 OOC games.
I believe you can count on Misery.

Other than that, you have a toss up at best.
