The Official 2nd Amendment Appreciation Thread

It provokes the inner child to build.

Ever have Legos as a kid?

oh yeah, still do. Its how I ended up in my profession. I do plenty of building as it is. It is actually really nice being able to buy one thing without having to specify all the parts and pieces.

Any advice for milling out my first 80% lower?

Got a mill? Edge finder?
Look up speeds and feeds rates for aluminum to turn the endmills at the proper speed and use the proper endmill, preferably 4 flute with corner radius, use air hose to blow chips away, find some practice parts first, call a local machine shop and ask for scrap Delrin, aluminum or plastic so you can get used to cutting it whether it's with a drill press or mill, take your time watch videos, its fun, I've done 2 and have 2 more I need to finish out.

I've had a S&W Ppks, Umarex Ppks .22lr, Pk380, and they were all trash. My brother has the P22 that I got him and it doesn't seem to have any issues. But now I'm hearing about your CCP and I'm wondering if they can get anything right.

I don't think they make a P99 anymore, but I could be wrong. The PPQ and PPX are too big to conceal carry, in my opinion, so they're useless.

The PPS M2 has my attention, but I'm not very optimistic about its reliability.

I understand that S&W and Umarex aren't Walter, but it is still very much a Walther problem if it's got the brand on it.

I think size of the carrier determines size for concealed carry. I carry a Kimber 1911 with a 5" barrel just like John Moses Browning intended.

Well I've already got one big barrel in my slim fit jeans, I don't think I can fit another 😂

Interesting conversation on CC. I carry a Springfield Mod2 9mm doublestack. I havent been carry as much as I thought I would due to weight and size. I convinced myself that I wanted a small 9mm (Sig/Beretta Nano, Glock 47) but tried a bunch out at the range and realized they are not that much smaller. So, I am back to the Mod2 and carrying a lot more. Not willing to move to a 380 just yet for many reasons. Anyone else go through the same issue. No point in having the gun if I am not carrying. Also, seems much easier in the winter with a vest or sweater on.

I think the most comfortable carry pistol I've owned was the Glock 42. Problem was, my aim wasn't great with it. I'm a pretty decent shot with my Bersas and Ppk, but something about that Glock was hard for me to get used to.

well it looks like I won't be joining you guys for a while longer. missed the original delivery window. now its just a vague "after the holiday"

Lol, literally three minutes after I posted this I got an email saying it has arrived. On my way to pick it up. Hopefully I am not on any watch lists.
