Lol at the clowns who think a drunken shove and a face-rearranging haymaker are equal. Woman or man, you can't hit someone like that for a shove. Much less so a woman who wouldn't be capable of that kind of force if she wanted to use it. Bunch of cavemen saying "she assaulted him she got what she deserved."

Appy didn't say that. His point was just that the outrage should be over the hugely unequal recourse (haymaker as opposed to push) instead of the fact it was a woman he hit.

In today's world, women want to be treated on an equal status to men. If that is to be the case, we can't treat them like children.

Closing note: Mixon is a piece of **** that shouldn't have been allowed to play.

Come on Mock.

You're better than this. I would hope we all are.

Could you clarify, so I know what it is you disagree with?

The rule should be to not hit anyone unless absolutely necessary.

And they said the 40 Year Old Virgin was not a true story.

I'm sure there are tons of high level wizards in this world--like Cat. Don't get your point though. Unless you're suggesting I am, which I'm sorry to disappoint you, but is pretty far off mark.

If Mixon had hit my daughter like that? Not sure what I would do. I know in the bible the Lord says vengeance is His. Still I have to think a friend or two and myself would have ran into him shortly after and thrown a little blanket party for him.

I hope good men, like Butch, his dad, and others are immediately crawling in his grill to let him know defending someone from the backlash of such behavior is indefensible

Yup, not a good look. I'm not going to call him a POS, or anything like that, but someone needs to get that tweet deleted. It can only bring negatives.

I disagree with the implication that the desire for equality among sexes implies that a woman should be ready to get the hell knocked out of her by a man. That's ridiculous, and you know that.

And before you say "that's not what I said", you made that statement in the larger context of this Mixon idiocy.

If that's not what you meant, then be more careful - either with what you say or when you say it.

Pretty basic stuff.

The first portion of my statement clarified that what Mixon did wasn't ok. He returned a push with a haymaker. The only way that punch would have been warranted--and even then I don't think hitting anyone is really acceptable unless there is no other option--was if that woman was someone that could do serious damage like he did. Someone like a Ronda Rousey.

I think Mixon should have just walked away since she was drunk and probably couldn't really follow anyways, or if she could follow just restrain her and call the cops.

First paragraph is weak, but 100% agree with this "I think Mixon should have just walked away."

One thing I'm not understanding. All you guys who like me have been forgiven a lot of wrong. Why is what Khalil said so bad? If Mixon has made his wrongs right with the girl and her family, which as far as I can tell he has, then why no forgiveness for the guy? It was reprehensible and disgusting, but why no forgiveness now? I mean everybody here is wanting basically to destroy the guys life forever. I understand and advocate justice for victims, but is destroying the guys life justice? And please don't accuse me of defending what he did. It was disgusting, and he deserved harsher punishment than he got, but the decision on what punishment he received was not his. Those folks should answer for that.

In real life, if a man destroys a woman's face and it's on video he goes to jail. These start athletes get celebrity treatment and don't live in the real world. Joe Mixon got a redshirt year as punishment with full meals, room and board still good to go. Khalil needs to keep his privileged mouth shut.

As for Oklahoma, just win am I right. They deserve much worse.

She's fighting a little cold right now but that's the extent of her medical issues.

Thank you for asking. My wife and I will never forget what VN did for us. We hope to pay it forward as often as we can.

For all that is wrong in this world, it is wonderful that we get to see living breathing miracles.

Not to mention the Title IX lawsuit here that said our athletes are out of control and abusive to women. Then Khill tweets that. Not a good look at all.

Being treated equally shouldn't mean that men lose their decency. Chivalry should not be lost or completely set aside, ESPECALLY in instances such as this.

Regardless of how they want to be treated, they're physiology doesn't change--men are still physically stronger, and any "man" (using that loosely) that reacts like Mixon did is not a man.

He knocked the hell out of her and then ran away. He's not a man, he's a f'ing coward.

And no one will convince me that his primary motivation in all of this is not a proactive measure to prevent from getting black listed by NFL teams like Ray Rice.

Wonder if AtlantaVol needs a "Junior" apprentice in his "corporation"?

Need a Middle Tennessee representative

Let's get something straight, I'm not defending him in anyway. He WAS WRONG. He should not have hit her. I am, however, saying that if he had hit a man, instead of a woman, this wouldn't be a huge issue. We wouldnt be talking about this whatsoever. The sex of the person he hit shouldn't matter.

It was a pretty big deal for the UT player that clocked another basketball player in HPER a number of years ago. I cannot remember his name.

After video of that surfaced to show how bad it was, I remember thinking that punk should be kicked off the team and prosecuted.

What did kmac say?
And while we are at it- stools has a long record of letting criminals play for him.. See his heisman finalist wr for the latest example...
