And as great as Denver's defense was? They didn't out score the other AFC teams in the playoffs. Pittsburgh and New England had wins in their sights. The Broncos TEAM made enough plays to get past them.

Like I said, meh. I didn't claim he is better or worse than any other coach currently in the NFL. Just think he is mediocre. I don't care enough about Gary Kubiak or the Broncos to argue about it.

So that missed goaltending early in the game hurts a little more now. I'm as happy with a loss as you can be. Maybe we can beat the Zags.

Our youth definitely showed on our last few offensive possessions. Hopefully these close games pay dividends when we start league play.

And hopefully we have some big men coming in the next recruiting class. We're gonna get killed on the boards all season with our lack of height

You are really stupid if you think Butch doesn't care if he wins or not. Because of a comment based on his desire to praise young men for being winners at something more important than games. I'm with Butch in the context of what he actually said, not just the 140 character sound bite.

I don't think most of the SEC is as good as these top ranked teams that the VOLS lost by two or took to overtime, so maybe...

As for the Lady VOLS, now that is a bunch of five star underachievers. I wanted Holly to succeed because she's been a VOL forever, but I'm afraid it isn't going to happen.

Lol can you point me out where I said Butch doesn't care if he wins before resorting to childish name calling next time? That's not what I meant at all... Barnes tells it like it is, that's what I (and many others) like about him.

If Chargers owners had made the right call and sided with Shottenheimer intead of their GM, and kept him, Phillips and Merriman together, he would have gotten one there. Kubiak was an offensive guy, and at times, it seemed like he was trying his best to sabotage that Super Bowl run last year. They won that SB in spite of Kubiak and it was all about that D. Just my opinion of course and we'll have to agree to disagree there.

Butch was kinda "ballsy" in his interviews and post-game pressers during year one. Still a lot of coach speak, but he talked about how it was never acceptable to lose at Tennessee after the Oregon shellacking and how he would get Tennessee back even if it killed him after the Auburn shellacking. He seemed much more confident back then.

The coach speak got turned up to a new level after the UF loss in 2014 and hasn't slowed down since.

Maryland is willing to risk 2 spots in their class to academic casualties, Tennessee is not. Has nothing to do with which is a better school. Two scholarships - pretty big price to pay for two kids who really could not care less about their grades.

I found it interesting they fell down to Maryland level. Might be reading the tea leaves here.

As long as we'll fix grades for 5* prospects I'll try to be okay with this. Gonna be pissed if the Terps win the Natty in 2-3 years.

I don't think that matters a lot. I read a piece about GA ST fans complaining that it is tougher for players to get into there than players to get onto GA Tech and Tech is a Top 20 academic school.
