It was tongue in cheek but our line has been an issue since Butch arrived. Remember it's not just rushing the ball, it's protecting the QB. How many times have we talked about a less mobile qb getting killed behind this line? We've not had a dominant O-line in years. Is it scheme? Is it personnel? Is it coaching? Regardless of the answer, it's squarely on Butch four years into his tenure.

Also, in regards to post Hurd rushing, the competition lightened up significantly.

I understand but since in a RB thread, thought your old timer moran had kicked in. I think a QB who steps up in the pocket would help and I do think we are getting more talent in on the OL. Still need to get to the point where guys RS first year on the line unless real exception AA five star guy like hopefully Trey will be. Dobbs made some big plays later this year when stepping up in the pocket. I think we are getting there in the OL but hated Tatum playing. More concern on future with DL right now. But Cam will eat if he comes here along with Chandler.

Don't forget how well those guys did even before he left. Watched live and they were way better even early in the year and were good vs Florida when given the ball. Issue was carries mostly going to Hurd.

See even now you are cowardly being dishonest in an attempt to cover for your childlike behavior. You have officially hit a new low. The problem with your argument lies in the highlighted words. My sole purpose was to discuss a player in the player's thread. Unfortunately that discussion included lies that you made up to hijack and troll the thread. Which is what you tend to do in every thread.

Remember when you attacked Will Ignont's character by saying you 'heard' there were concerns? This was right after he committed and everyone was excited. Even then you decided to be a turd in the punch bowl to create your own entertainment. So quit being weak and hiding behind some message board rule that doesn't even apply to the current situation. Either man up or find a ladies message board to go post on.

Hurd carrying the ball was not why the OL got absolutely knocked on their tails vs App St. and 1st half vs Va Tech and at other times throughout the year. Just like Dobbs and virtually every other facet of our offense, the OL we're maddeningly inconsistent this year. All-star championship type performance one week, bottom feeder in the MAC the next.

Injuries have played a part too but I think as a group I've been the most disappointed in that group than any other.

I will always discuss the recruitment of players in these threads. If you can't handle a take other than your own I suggest you follow freaks suggestion of ignoring me instead of stalking me.

As for Ignont I worry about his past hurting his future at Tenn. Everyone can learn from their mistakes and I pray he does just that.

For Akers I think he is a long shot but I think the chances are better than I thought when I wrongly believed he hadn't been at a game this fall. I still hope he decides not to EE as I believe that would help.

Our rushing game wasn't all that great against App State or Ohio with Hurd in the game either. I hope our OL can get healthy and stay healthy long enough to gel before next fall. Part of our problem is the constant rotation due to injuries. It all starts in the S&C program.

Ignont has zero character concerns and you have no legitimate 'contacts' to suggest otherwise. You just made up your opinion to create strife on a message board. Pretty much what you are doing on this thread.

Your opinion on Akers is about as worthless as any of your other opinions. My suggestion is if you have some legit information to add, feel free to add it. If it's your out of touch bs to create drama, keep it to yourself.

We will not get this guy so why are we wasting time on him, all he has to do is look at the way we used our back's and then throw in the problem's with Hurd and Coach Jones there is no way he will even look at us much less come here. we need to move on from him and go after someone we really got a shot at this wishing won't bring him here.
