Someone on VQ said his visits were discussed this week on the VQ podcast so I just listened...Fort said he was here for the Bama game weekend, once in the summer (orange carpet day), once in the spring, last fall for two games and then once before that. So at least 6 times per Paul Fortenberry since his junior year. He also mentioned that Akers talks with many current UT commits regularly, is good friends with Trey Smith and he thinks UT has a good shot. Said that IHO, it's down to UT, OSU and LSU but since LSU doesn't have an OC and will likely have a new RB coach that hurts them.

My bad, I apologize, apparently he wasn't here for any games this fall except for the Bama game. I still think he's going to be a Vol.

And Hubbs reiterated that in the summer it wasn't just Akers on the visit but his entire family and they stayed all weekend (orange carpet day) and had a great time. Fort followed it up by saying he was here for a long weekend for Bama game as well.

This time both are right and wrong. Bruin is right that more than once he scheduled and didn't show but Ron is right that he saw Tn play, one being on the road. Saw a couple OM games, LSU, Georgia and Bama being others.

Edit: meant to add on the Clarion Ledger, it states Tn is expected to see Cam this weekend.

I am more wrong if he did come to the Alabama game. Still not convinced he made it since two services confirmed he Didn't make it. If he made it that's huge news.

Well they don't have a very good track record with akers. Last week it was he is OVing only to say a few days later he wasn't because he was playing an important game(state championship). Last I checked those games are scheduled in advance

When it comes to who came to Tennessee and who didn't, I would take either of their statements as fact.

Lol you have to make it there first. He likely scheduled it way back then had to cancel due to playing in the game.
