'17 MS RB Cam Akers (FSU commit 12/27)

No NFL team is playing Kamara to block...he's a third down/space player. He's got a special skill set with his acceleration and agility...just takes one team to really like him. And for the record, Kiper is terrible at his job.

This is all true. He is not the only analyst that has said Kamara has things to work on though. Also, even though he is a third down back he does have the size to fill in if needed as an every day back for a few plays or a game or too. The NFL loves that versatility if he can also block. Frankly, I love him and wish whatever round he is drafted that the Raiders get him. And I don't blame him for leaving for the payday at all. I think 3rd to 4th round is where he ends up if he goes this year, JMO.

This could not be further from the truth, Mel Kiper just released his draft prediction and have Kamara going into third or fourth rounds. I think staying another year help him move up possibly into the lake second or early third round but given his size I'm not sure he goes earlier than that.

I think he's a 3rd round guy. Which is high for a RB that won't be a feature back

I think he will be an excellent pro

I'd be more worried about the fumbles than blocking - see Matt jones riding the bench

That being said he could put up a 40 time at the combine that pushes him into the 2nd. Wouldn't make too much of kipers projections before pro days or combines or knowing for sure who is coming out

Whatever happened to North? Where did he end up?

Why? Because some dweebs at ranking sites say so? Ty is as good as anybody coming out this year.

Agree, jmo, but I think Chandler is as good as any. Actually, as far as contributing day one, Chandler is ahead of Cam. I don't think Ty gets the attention or credit he is due but I love his running style.

AK would shoot up the draft boards if he came back and showed NFL scouts that he can be a workhorse.

Smith got Tn back in the door with Akers and seems to be paying off.

I love to watch Ty run too.

What makes you think that? He plays against the best competition and dominates. Harris is good but looking at both films, Chandler looks better IMO. He'll do wonders in our offense.

Najee and Akers are on their own level. Najee is a horse at RB.
