Summed it up perfectly. Kamara won't be expected to be 25-30 carry a game back. Teams will use him in space and possibly even special teams. Kamara is NFL ready IMO.

Someone in the AK thread in the FF just said that he heard from "multiple sources" that AK was leaning towards staying because he didn't like his grade. I don't buy it but man that would be awesome. But if that did happen, don't y'all think that would hurt our chances to land Akers?

Wouldn't care if it did. I'll trade another year of AK for the shot at landing Akers all day.

Extremely unlikely AK stays

Up until I left that was always the feeling I got after talking to him. Dude loves Tennessee but as a RB, you got to take your money while you can

That's how I feel too. Short shelf life for RB in the NFL, go while you can and get that payday.

0.0001% chance AK comes back. I only give it that as to not close doors when it is a deep RB class and he could be a Heisman candidate if we were to actually hire Helfrich

Man, oh man. I would be so happy if we went after and got Helfrich. I can only imagine AK in his offense. Talk about a perfect fit that would be.

cam akers to the nation's top running back

this ranking bump is more a product of the clinton (miss.) high school back's body of work and state championship game showing than anything he did this week in practice. Akers jumps up to no. 1 in the country at running back, one spot above najee harris in the national rankings. The two will both be at the army all-american bowl in january competing side-by-side with an equal shot at finishing with that no. 1 ranking. Lsu, florida state, tennessee and ole miss appear to be the top candidates in akers' recruitment.
