From Callahan:

Three-star cornerback Keisean Nixon of Arizona Western College in Yuma, Ariz., posted on his Twitter account Tuesday morning that he received a scholarship offer from Tennessee.

"Blessed To Receive A Offer From The University Of Tennessee #GBO," he tweeted.

The 6-foot, 200-pound Nixon — who plays at the same junior college that produced Vols sophomore defensive lineman Jonathan Kongbo — holds offers from more than 20 schools, including South Carolina, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi State, UCLA, Kentucky, Colorado State, Iowa State, Arizona State and California.

He already has been on official visits to South Carolina, Missouri, Iowa State and Colorado State.

Nixon, who's planning to announce his college decision on Dec. 17 and enroll at the school of his choice in January, is ranked the nation's No. 61 overall junior-college prospect and No. 8 juco cornerback in the 247Sports Composite for the 2017 class.

All three predictions on the 247Sports Crystal Ball point to South Carolina as the favorite to land him. The Gamecocks hosted him on his most recent official visit the weekend of Nov. 19.

Vols did offer one today...

'17 JUCO CB Keisean Nixon

As I posted earlier, I found it interesting that Nixon is high on Colorado State and his lead recruiter there is Terry Fair. I would love to see Fair come home & bring Nixon with him.

I'll give you two 4*'s and a 3*; then raise you eight juco's and call. If it's 25% hit rate there's two starters and a bunch of scout teamers that get busted for chasing skirts and smoking weed. Deal?

Just going to have to let it happen. Recruiting class somewhere between 20-28 probably this year. Next years class will be a disaster heading into Dec when Butch is fired. Then we can start all over. Just have to roll with it.

If Muschamp wants him, then maybe he can play CB.

I've not said much about the situation, but I'll weigh in, and get back to my business.

I. Everyone is miserable:
Got it. Now, you bascially have 4 options going forward.

1. Butch leaves ASAP: Unlikely, and the fact is, with no AD, and no clear, realistic upgrades, this would be likely catastrophic. If this is what you want, this is what you should expect to see as a result.

2. Butch bombs next season and is fired: Ok, maybe more firm footing for the AD to possibly make a better hire, but next season would suck. No guarantees about the next coach either. I certainly don't want next season to suck.

3. Butch does fair next season, 8 wins: If he truly wants out, he may be able to have some leverage at that point. If he is average again, and stays, we are kind of stuck.

4. Next season is a success and we win the East:
Butch learns from some mistakes, changes are made in the staff, the youth who played this year grow and develop, Shoop fixes whatever the heck went on this season, and the Vols are back on track. Everyone seems to agree Butch will be as strong as his staff, and this is where he will be made or broken this off season. Of course, this could be a "peak" season, and he slides back to scenario 3, but one season at a time.

Given the 4 possible outcomes above, the 4th is most conducive to my happiness as a fan, and that's where I'm at. I'm still hoping he gets it done, but you won't hear me confidently spouting rainbows.
