The lady who is helping Wyatt was the lady that greeted William to get him ready for the park. The MiB said, "It's you? I thought they'd retired you. I guess Ford can't throw away a pretty face."

That to me leaves the possibility of multiple time lines up. There are only two ways to explain this. A. There are multiple of that chick or B. She greeted William several years ago in a different time line and now she's in a different role.

I still think it's possible that the man in black is William, but it was confusing seeing the town Delores remembers already in ruins. However, in the present time, Ford has begun unearthing that town, right? This almost confirms multiple timelines.

Regardless, I'm so ticked that I have to wait until next week to watch another episode. Dang it!

I'm not sure I buy the multiple timelines theory.

Seems like both the man in black and William are both on Wyatt's heels.

And wasn't Mave in the saloon when William and Logan arrived?

I wish I had time to go back and rewatch

Okay, so I went back to check when William and Logan arrived. There isn't any interaction with Maeve, only Clementine. Also, the MiB said something to Lawrence I found interesting...

"You and I are friends. You and I hunted down ghost nation braves... I know the whiskey you like to drink. I know the tune you whistle when you take a p***."

William spent time with Lawrence, and even had run-ins with the ghost nation. I'm not suggesting that's hard evidence, but it's evidence.

Although, we have to consider that Jonathon Nolan co-wrote all this, so it's very possible that it was written in a way to convince everyone that William and MiB are the same, only to turn that theory on its head later.

Regardless, I love this show.

Wow.... that's certainly interesting. I was convinced after the MiB's backstory reveal that there was no way the multiple timeline/MiB-William theory is correct, as the backstory just didn't fit the narrative for who William is. But if this is correct.... that's pretty hard evidence. I did hear an interesting theory today:

Dolores is Wyatt. When she sees visions of towns full of dead people, they are all people that she has killed. That could explain why she miraculously gained the ability to work an entire room of men with a 6-shooter. Not sure of the other details, but I find this theory pretty interesting.

I work in the evening. Watch kids during the week days. I usually watch while they nap on Mondays. Then head over here to discuss.

For those of you that were fans of the original movie - when Benard went down to level B82 there was a host in the shadows; it was the Man in Black (Yul Bryner character) from the original movie/book.

I think it's safe to assume that William is the Man In Black at this point. The massacre ended all doubt imo. The Arnold reveal was somewhat expected also.

I haven't been this into a show this soon since GOT. HBO has it's new flag ship series once GOT ends.

William has to be the man in black. Also, William is the board member Hale went to if this is true. Does that mean something happened to Logan? Any chance Logan dies in the park? Also, wow, what a twist. Arnold wanted to play god and build a sentient being, and it ended up killing him. Interesting.

I wish I had waited until next week to watch any of the episodes and then just binged the whole thing. I did that with True Detective and it was better that way because there wasn't so much time to forget details.

When Logan flashed the picture of his sister, the same one that set Abernathy off, I was starting to believe the multiple time line theory UNTIL MiB walked into the church at the end with Delores wearing the clothes she had on when she left William back at the camp. Now I'm just confused.

Plus the symbolism of the MiB's knife and William's seems soooo obvious that it has to be a red herring.

The BernArnold reveal was a little more predictable although not the Delores part. I'm thinking Arnold had the son that died too.

Time is dangerously out of control, mirror scenes = Mobius Strip. MiB isn't just William in the future... He is William's shadow self/superego. Every piece of evidence, from the dialogue, to the setting, to the hints, to the props all point to William being MiB, just like Arnold was Bernard. William killed hosts before this rampage... what the rampage signifies is that all the hosts where old versions... meaning William is in a different timeline or period of time than MiB. MiB talks about opening them up, about being married for 30 years, that he is a board member, which adds up to everything William has been saying. When he killed Maeve and her daughter that was after his wife died... 30 years after he first came to the park as William.

This is growing as a new fav. Four episodes in and I love how dark it is. I wish the had incorporated the roman world and medieval world like they did in the movie. And love the theories y'all are outing on here. I'm trying to read them without spoiling the plot

It was a slow burn at first and now it's a mind f***

Still don't understand the turn around in William if he is the MiB. I understand being mad at his "buddy" and doing what he can to get the girl back but something has to jade him from chivalry to cold-blooded. Perhaps he gets stiffed by Delores after thinking she's more than she is?
