Butch interview-"Champions at Life"
Saban interview clip- "Losing is NEVER acceptable". Goes off and basically ends the interview.
Both teams play with complete different mindsets too. Smh
i wonder how freeze, sumlin, beliema, mullen, etc are talked about by their fans and media. because jones has had as much or more success this year and is getting sodomized.
Says the king of beating a dead horse. 🤔Why on earth do we keep piling on because of a quote that was 110% appropriate to run our own guy further in the ground?
Don't we owe it to the program we supposedly support to watch or read the freaking context of quote before we burn the guy at the stake for it?
Damn almighty why don't we find real things to complain about. It's almost as if our own fans enjoyed hearing the Vandy announcer classlessly use the same punch line from the quote.
Smdh at so called fans. Let's find something really true to complain about at least.
I think the Kentucky AD would be a good move. You have to think about it from the perspective of prospective coaching hires. They are looking at their bosses and saying can I respect them? Can they do what is necessary to help me be successful. Blackburn is still green. Hasn't run a power 5 program. Kentucky is a big time college athletic program.
It makes me think the powers that be are wanting to make big time coaching hires and don't want concerns about the ad to get in the way.
Butch will be here next year. You guys are wasting too much time talking about who you would rather have.
So to me we're kind of in this void area where our fanbase is depressed and angry and tired and fed up. But there's not really anything we can do about it.
Except maybe hope against hope that this year was an aberration and next year we excel. And that Butch somehow turns/grows into some powerhouse coach. Not saying that's what will happen. But I doubt Butch will be choosing to leave (despite what Hubbs us floating out there).
And so we're left with little options. If we have another terrible year next year the downward spiral may be too much to overcome and we'll probably end up in another multi-year rebuild.
We can simply hope Butch returns to the coach he was the first 3 years. We can hope his team plays disciplined football and is prepared when the game starts. The first 3 years his team were excellent at that. 3 years is greater than 1.So to me we're kind of in this void area where our fanbase is depressed and angry and tired and fed up. But there's not really anything we can do about it.

Mullen and Freeze are under pressure but their respective universities have for lower expectations than ours.
Arkansas fans are behaving much like us in many of them what Brett gone.
Texas A&M fans are almost unified in wanting Kevin fired.
TENNESSEE
Butch Jones will obviously enter 2017 feeling a great deal of pressure, and staff changes are expected in the coming weeks. That said, 247Sports has been told that neither of the teams coordinators, neither OC Mike DeBord nor DC Bob Shoop, will be dismissed.
We have been told, however, that the 60-year-old DeBord is at least contemplating retirement. Weve also been told to expect an overhaul of the teams strength and conditioning department in the coming months.
Tennessee is also in the midst of an athletic director search, though many sources close to the school say Chattanoogas David Blackburn a former deputy AD at UT should be the shoo-in to begin a sort of healing process for the beleaguered department.
