Dang on basilios website it was mentioned that the Ky AD is an option for becoming our next AD! Are you kidding me?! They're going to screw this up, aren't they?

Did the current UK AD hire Calipari? Because uh, I might be okay with that. Probably a better single coaching hire than any we've made in 20 years.

Defense definitely has the talent. IMO Will they be developed is the question. Between Warrior, Griffin, Martin(say what you want lol), Osbourne and Gaulden we should field a damn good secondary. But they aren't being coached worth a damn. Abernathy is a corner and doesn't need another snap at safety.

Yes. Barnhart hired Calipari, and was a deputy AD under Dickey for about 15 years. Could do much, much worse.

Can't even really say he did a bad job with the Stoops hire.

He got the best coach available that would take the job at KY IMO and Stoops hasn't been a horrible coach for them. (also my opinion).

And while the Stoops hire isn't a fantastic hire, Barnhart has supported and gotten updated facilities built and has given what administrative support is possible.

Only downside I can think of is Stoops' agent killing Barnhart on the contract renegotiations.

What if Holgerson goes to Houston?

"If Holgerson went to Houston then I could see Jones in play at West Virginia. I don't think Jones will be a factor at Houston or Purdue."

My question is why doesn't Hubbs or admin just come out and say he's not going anywhere. That means he's seriously pursuing other options

It was about time management. You kick the FG early to save time and TOs. Had 3. Need onside kick and 2 point conversion so it was a long shot.

Kick the FG still have a chance.

I know y'all disagree but I would venture to bet the vast majority of coaches kick that ball and it's not close.

My opinion why it was happening was to kick it. My 10 year old who has never played the game so go for it. Makes sense Butch would do what a 10 year old would suggest. If it is not 4th down, you keep trying to get a TD but on 4th from there you kick it.

yall are getting too hung up on the FG vs td. if you get a td and the onside kick then you have a chance at the WIN and not play for the tie, which is the agressive nature you rednecks have been b#$%$ing about all year.

To the people complaining about it, sit your fat ass back on your couch and shut up.

My ass ain't fat and sorry but you are wrong. It's not aggressive or passive but it is math.

Exactly - and it's really not a hard decision, especially from outside the 10 yard line. Let's assume Kamara is successful and gets the yards for a first down. They still have to line up, use clock trying at least one more play. If they don't score, do they run another play or do they kick? If they run the ball and don't get in there goes another TO. Look at the fumbles all year and even in this game. If they pass, how many times have we seen Dobbs throw a critical pick in this situation? Too many. Too many bad things can happen in addition to the clock and TO usage. If you get to 4th down again - what do you do?

You kick the FG right then. You still have a shot to win.
