I don't know who we could hire but it's time for a new face of our football team. I was a huge supporter of CBJ but he has proved the stage is too big on Rocky Top.

What if he can't find another job and comes back another year? No way he's going to recruit hard or give it his all. That would set the program back further than cutting our losses now and getting somebody on board who's up for the challenge. CBJ seems to have already checked out. Hard to move forward with someone like that.

Hard to see how Jones rebounds, but who knows JG might just be that good. Been an interesting ride. The decision to go for the TD was a capitulation. Mason is a good coach and 8-4 better than what Kiff or Dooley reached. Not. sure if the loss is a ceiling or a bottom.

There's no question tonight was Butch's Waterloo. Is there even anything he could do at this point to win back the fan base before spring?

At this point, the mystifying losses under Jones aren't a floor, they are a trend.

Derek Barnett: "I'm not blaming any of this on injuries. We still had 11 guys on the field. We just didn't do what we needed to do."

They all said it was unacceptable and they were embarrassed.

Vandy didn't take us down to the wire and kick a game winning FG... no... We lost double digits. I'm still a bit in shock it was THAT bad

I feel like 8-4 was kind of a worst case scenario this year. Probably good enough to avoid getting Butch fired, but lousy enough to disappoint practically everyone in the fanbase. Hard to see how this turns out well for us.

I had heard earlier this week that Butch wanted out. Didn't want to believe it but is usually reliable. I think tonight proved it to be accurate. He doesn't want to be here anymore. If he stays without a change of attitude then it will be toxic. He either needs to commit to trying to get this right or just leave. One foot out the door doesn't work for anyone. Just do us a favor and take another job Butch.
