And if he did nothing wrong he wouldn't have got it. Either he lied. Didn't come forth. Something. Either way he done something to get it. Play by the rules is all I'm saying. And if it was because of being on Pearl's staff. Then he should have removed himself.
STOP replying to him. Please..

Dude, the show cause was for being a member of Pearl's staff. Ironically, it's a reversal of Tyndall's case. And the original post was a recruiting post until it was morphed.

The show cause was for lying about the picture to the NCAA investigators in the initial meeting. Same as Jason Shay and Tony Jones.

That is why Forbes and Shay were pissed at Pearl for not going to bat for them with Tennessee administration over severance packages. They lied to try and save his bacon and he only looked out for himself when negotiating buyouts and packages.

All this is to the best of my recollection.

That's why I hope that Pearl is never the UT coach again. Chronic liar and it's all about him. Narcissistic loud mouthed clown.

Yeah, I was a fan of Pearl, even after he was fired until I heard how he conducted himself in such a self-serving manner behind closed doors when negotiating the buyouts.

Apparently he was quite the douche nozel in his dealings with the HT Hackney sales team in his appointed executive position as well.

Thanks for that input!

We have a bunch of players offered in the 2018 class. 5 - PGs, 4 - SGs, 9 - SFs, but currently no PF's or C's.

In the 2017 class, we have Zach Kent committed in this class, but other than that, we have offered only one person in the class. Are we trying to hold off with so many freshman? I don't know why any person in the next two classes would commit to the PG position with Turner, Bone and the potentially of Kwe playing point guard.

The whole point to this post is... if we are lacking the most the BIG positions, why haven't we offered more?

It doesn't make much sense but in reality we don't have a lot of schollies to offer for the next 3 seasons anyhow. I'm talking about 2017-2019. There are two in 2017, one in 2018, and three in 2019.

It's not until either 2020 or 2021 that we have a jump in scholarship offers available. I'm pretty sure it's starting in 2021. I think we have either 7 or 8 for that year available. BOT on here has posted this twice for reference but I can't ever remember it.

Did I say Bot in my last post? I meant TGO. You're the one that's done this way too many times to help us out to keep up with it. Thanks for posting it again.

I hate to say it & be a negavol because that's not normally how I work but he's not impressed me at all. He's basically done nothing thru these first few games so I'm glad he's one & done myself.

It's a long season and he has 5 fouls per game. He may not put up a lot of stats but he can be a role player. In a real physical game he can contribute... he's got a little bit of thuggy-ness in his game. A push in the back here... an elbow there.

I think that Barnes wants to use him to defend in the paint and then to step outside on offense to draw his defender away from the hoop. Barnes was mad at him in the first game or two when he wasn't playing on the perimeter on offense.

Barnes looks for advantages with match-ups. The lineup will be very fluid... different starters every game most likely.

Hearsay isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
I prefer to judge a man on hard evidence.

I understand what you're saying about Evans but to me he's shown that he hasn't provided much of anything to this team thus far.

I just don't see him being much of a role player either. He just seems like a player that was used to weaker competition coming from Utah State.

Has he even scored a single point yet? I know he hasn't scored more than 1 bucket & can't have many rebounds either.

Lew Evans College Stats | College Basketball at Sports-Reference.com

3 fouls, rebounds, assists, and turnovers.

One missed 3-pointer. One missed free throw.

32 minutes total PT.

If he has a team first attitude then he's doing his job. TN will need his fouls later in the season.

Everybody can't have a lot of minutes and stats. He might be very valuable in practice. No need to crap on any of the guys in orange.
