Serious question here. Why is Herman to LSU good for UT? Why can't UT hire someone to 'bring down bama'? If we root against the SEC in post season, shouldn't we be rooting for LSU to make a bad hire?
Based on how the players at USC and LSU responded to him as the interim coach makes me think he's elite without having to be dirty. Not that he's a saint, but I don't think he's any more dirty than any other college coach
He is not a long term solution. Don't be fooled by brief stints at very prestigious and talented programs. He would suck if he jumped into a vacant position at Purdue for example.
All these program's think they can simply pull whatever coach they dream of
LSU wanted Fisher
Texas wanted Herman
I'm telling you... We would get Cam Cameron or Charlie Weis, after these jokers think Gruden would crawl naked through a field of broken glass to get here
Happy thanksgiving
I agree that he wouldn't be a good fit for rebuilding a program, so maybe my "wherever he goes" comment was a bit of an overstatement. But I think at a place like Houston, or at any place that is firing a coach for stagnating at 8-9 wins (UGA last year, Nebraska post- Pelini) he would be a good fit. If LSU can't get Jimbo to leave FSU I think they could do a lot worse than keeping him. He's done a good job with their offense considering the limitations of mid-season changes and having a TE coach call plays
Another SEC game another absent Garrett. It's a travesty the media is all over that scrubs nuts and Barnett is dominating and gets left off Badnarik list. What a joke.
