The east could have more bowl teams than the west this year. And there's a real possibility for some statement wins this weekend. While not likely, I don't think it is outside of the realm of possibility that Georgia, Florida, Kentucky and South Carolina all win their cross over rivalry games with the ACC. (I wouldn't bet on it, but I also wouldn't be surprised).

clemson is going to embarrass Carolina....

Disagree. Should be a good game.

I'm with you. Clemson has not been all that dominating this season. Add another loss to NC State if the 28 yard FG is good. Going against the ACC schools makes the record better than it would be otherwise. Muschamp will have them playing good D in a rivalry game.

Knowing how our luck has been this year it wouldnt surprise me if we don't make it to the Sugar and get relegated to a much lower bowl. That to me would make this a truly lost season.

I agree. And I'm starting to think he may have a future in the NFL, although it's not clear the position. He's a dynamic athlete and he's really gotten a chance to show it the last few weeks.

I'll be rooting for him. He's one of my all time favorites.

Riley Ferguson is having a good year out in Memphis...

2917 yards, 24 TD, 9 INT,
-69 YD Rushing, 4 TD

-------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, in Knoxville, Joshua Dobbs is having a pretty good year...

2315 yards, 24 TD, 12 INT,
660 YD Rushing, 9 TD

He got hurt Friday night. Not sure how bad

D4H is way worse

Bruin's worst quality is that he takes a single talking point and repeats it 1000x.

D4H spews verbal diarrhea in every thread.

KNS:
"Injuries deprived Florida of three of its best defensive players against LSU. Its starting quarterback and center also were out with injuries. But it somehow managed to beat a more talented LSU team on its home field.

When UT coach Butch Jones was asked about the East title that got away, he responded predictably. "We just want to be 1-0 each week," he said.

The Vols celebrate going 1-0. The Gators celebrate going to the SEC championship.
Jones delivers another catchphrase. Florida coach coach Jim McElwain delivers another divisional title."

Lol The RF says

Bob Shoop has done one hell of a job.
We love playing games where we have to score 40 to win.

Anybody that says otherwise is a troll.

Huh??????????????

A DC figured out how to gameplan without his best players on defense?

That's not possible

I am even amazed at myself by offering perspective this AM. No rants, just realism. We are freaking out over the D and rightfully so for an anticipated division winning season. That really ended with the D injuries and coaching issues. However, we won by 26 yesterday. We scored 49 on UK against supposed D guru, Mark Stoops. For goodness sakes, Vandy scored 38 on Ole Miss last night. We think we have D problems? Our guys are keeping it in the 30's with only 2-3 normal first team starters now. Some positions are down to third teamers.

We all have wanted them to take the handcuffs off Dobbs all season. Until recently they didn't unless they were behind with the game on the line. They nearly lost because of it a couple more times and did lose because of it. They refused to run a scheme to help Hurd, yet, continued to use him as the lead RB for over 2.5 seasons. Everybody had seen for 2 seasons it did not fit him. We all knew the WR rotation was crazy. No QB could develop chemistry throwing to that many guys. The first halves of every game until recently were schemed and play called atrociously. The USCe game was for the entire game. Dobbs was obviously emotionally upset and distracted over the internal turmoil and the Hurd distraction. So get his mind off of it and into the game - scheme and play call to run the ball with him. They didn't. I won't even get into the misuse of a number of players and lack of development.

With all of that our guys are 8-3 and should be heavily favored to beat Vandy to get them to a top bowl. It is not what we expected. But the schedule was really rough per the SOS and the team obviously was not as deep in player development as we all hoped to overcome the coaching issues. Chalk it up as barely missing the target of 10-2 and division champs. Now it is totally on Butch to atone with staff improvements in the off season to eliminate their shortcomings and give the roster they recruit the best opportunity to succeed. Nobody should want Butch fired at this point. That is silly. But to just let it all rock along as is after 4 seasons is not acceptable either unless you think good, not elite is what you want. Give me elite and making the tough choices to get there. His current, overall MO needs to be modified.
