I've watched every snap he has taken. He is mobile and can throw the ball very well on the move. He's not Lamar Jackson, but he doesn't have to be.

All that being said, I think this offense is hot garbage, so I'm not sure anyone can really run it very well.

He can't run read option.IMO A smart D-coordinator would make him keep it all game. He's not a threat at all.

Yep, all of them.

I think his system works better if he has a better passer than runner. Right now I think teams just load the box and take away the run making Dobbs uncomfortable and out of his element and the other team will live with him trying to beat them through the air.

I think for him to be successful he will need to run about 8-10 times a game. If he can't produce a decent read it will be Worley 2.0. The QB has to keep the defense guessing and has to be a threat to run even if he is not going to beat you running.

I think his system works better in the Big East, but I do agree a more legitimate passer definitely helps it.

A better OL is more key to the success than whether Dormady or Guarantano are the QB.

This is true. They have played like slaw the majority of the year. If that is not fixed I don't think the second coming of Peyton Manning would helo.

I have come from the future to show you this.

My fear is a lack of a qb coach will hurt JGs development. Dobbs hasnt progressed as much as I thought he would and who knows if it's cause of the player, lack of coaching, or a combination of both.

The "we don't have a QB coach" is one of those fallacies that has taken on a life of its own. My question is what do you think the QBs do at practice and in meeting rooms? I will tell you, there is this guy named Coach Sheridan that COACHES the QBs on our roster. If you want to argue that you don't think he does a good job then that's an argument that can obviously be discussed. But this repeated gnashing of teeth about how we are at a disadvantage because while other teams have a QB coach our QBs have nobody instructing them and watch self help YouTube videos during position meetings is ridiculous.

Results go a long ways and if you look at Dobbs' performance this year if Sheridan has been the "qb" coach he definitely needs to be looked at being replaced. His development has been very up and down and lately more down.

He's got an arm. But he's slow and throws off his back foot a lot for a pocket passer.

He's so slow though man. I can't see him running read option at all. He's got Appleby/Del Rio level speed.

Dormady can sling it for sure but his throwing motion seems low and elongated to me. Guarantano's motion is high, tight and quick. I'm no quarterback expert though.

Dobbs has gotten a lot better as a passer. His ball security sucks but he is much much better as a passer this season

I just watched the replay of the game, and the part where Evan Berry was walking to the locker room. He showed absolutely no sign of a leg injury. He even sidestepped left and right around some people as he went to the locker room. Crazy.
