Those PCs crack me up. People hang on every word he says. He trolls them every week and they don't seem to even recognize it. I take everything he says in those with a grain of salt.

We just aren't as quick and smart as you Invol. :) Personally, don't watch pc's. I did watch the one concerning Hurd but that was not your usual called pc but I will say it turned out to be like every pc at every school. Absolutely nothing but yada yada yada. Reminded me why I don't watch them. lol But what coach doesn't do the coach speak rally they just give out the shallow info they want you to know.

I'm over the loss and realizing there is still a ton of FB left this season. We only get 13 games a year (used to only get 12 before Butch) and I am going to continue to enjoy this season now that the drama has left.

I really think this is going to happen.

TN - 5-3
Uk - W (this will be viewed as a big win in the media and get us back in the top 20 of CFBPCR)
Missouri -W
@Vandy - W

KY 5-3
UGA - W
@TN - L

FL - 5-3
@Ark - L
SC - W (could lose this with Bentley at QB for CWM)
@LSU - L


Then a 5-3 TN team will give Auburn all they can handle in the SEC title game after they upset Bama and A&M loses to LSU.

I still believe in Derek Barnett, Cam Sutton, Alvin Kamara, Mr. Jennings, ect.

I think they regroup and finish VERY Strong.

This season is not lost VOLS!

I like to believe that but it seems no one is really talking about the glaring problem we have...and that is the d line. We have 3 starters gone from August. Who really is left? Who will step up? I don't see us winning out unless Johnson steps up or someone like Kongbo or Phillips slides in and can hold the middle.

EVERYTHING hinges on Arky beating Florida. I hate that we are in this position, but here we are. I fully believe we will win out, just don't know if it will be enough in the end.

One of the keys, imo, is how well our rag tag DTs can play down the stretch, particularly against KY and Vandy as both of those teams can run the ball between the tackles a little bit.

I'll be really dialed in on that position this week.

Assuming for the moment that a new OC is hired for next season, I believe it will be quite telling to see how the new AD approaches the situation.

If the AD is confident in CBJ and changes he potentially proposes, then I expect salary/guarantees for a new OC will not be an issue.

Otherwise...

I am aware that he knows. I would just like him to acknowledge it and that they are going to try and fix it instead of just snap and clear.

LWS is saying in the FF that Butch wanted the players smaller and quicker and Lawson disagreed with him on some things which is why he was let go. Now we have all of these injuries. Maybe that made their bodies weaker and more prone to injury. Another off season horrible decision by Butch. Why does he want smaller quicker players on the lines of scrimmage? This is the SEC. No wonder he had Kmac lose so much weight. I also wonder how the players feel about this S&C change and now injuries? Might be yet another issue Butch is dealing with regarding players.

And everyone will still moan.

If I told you preseason, the Vols beat FL and UGA, and make it to ATL, 90% of us would have taken it straight, no questions asked.

Not sure KMac is the best example, kid needed to lose some bad weight.

strength and conditioning had nothing to do with kamaras knee, cams ankle, kirklands ankle, obrien smoking devils lettuce, etc

Everyone agreed with the move Lawson should be let go, mostly because of... wait for it... preseason injuries. Maybe he chose the wrong guy to replace him, but speed is good for the system he wants to run. It's not like we're Austin Peay sized out there.

Some of our players (KMac being one of them) needed to be quicker and lighter.


We have a S&C problem, but I think it's more about the coach and his methods than Butch's ultimate goals. S&C is somewhere we need an upgrade, but some of our injuries have just been bad luck type things as well. The best S&C coach in the world can't do anything for an ankle that gets twisted and fallen on like DKJr's, Wiesman's concussion, Kamara getting late hit out of bounds, etc.
