Love GFW, but even he admits he's not tuned into the program anymore. Maybe an old source spread that rumor to him? Just sounds like more trash from our favorite barber.

Apparently quoting another poster, but LWS wouldn't do that unless he believed it to be true. Doesn't sound like much new info, just confirmed what happened during the UGA game about Hurd disrespecting CBJ after the fumble, no concussion or injury. Hurd missed 3 practice days the next week not because of injury, and there was a team vote to keep him on the team but to sit out A&M.

Something new was that Hurd took himself out of the game at USC, and when Kelly got dinged up he was asked to go back in and refused. Then the Carlin fumble happened, and Dobbs got in Hurd's face blaming it on him and that he quit on the team.

Then the Sunday team meeting occurred, and Hurd walked out of the meeting after being called out by teammates.

Boro in the weird Fattz guy's thread was is saying Barnett beat Hurd's ass after the Georgia game. Also had fisticuffs with Kongbo for disrespecting stripling.

I really hope hurd leaving helps kamara, hes a team captain and keeps his mouth shut and plays hard. Seems to be a real team player also. I selfishly want him to come back but know it probably won't happen. Glad guys have the guts to call players out for being selfish and disrespectful to coaches

Well... either this ship is going to sink faster than the Titanic or all this craziness will finally give the team a sense of focus.

Butch deserves a ton of criticism for not having this team focused or prepared before this point though. If the team implodes and sinks, he should be gone.

Just to go further, he went on to say he heard about this before anything came out Sunday.
Also, said the 3 above mentioned coaches would be gone in Jan.
Boro has a pretty good track record I believe.

Not sure what you are referring to, but this is from TOS in regards to what Hubbs said about Hurd having to sit out a year no matter what:

Hubbs has researched this. according to rules, when you only have one year left you must sit a year even if transferring down to D-2 level. He has to sit a year no matter where he goes.

I beginning to believe (this is speculation) that Butch gave Hurd an option. I think he may have told him, I can announce your transferring or I can announce you have been dismissed for a violation of team rules. Which do you prefer?

To make a decision to transfer with having to sit a year makes no sense. I think he ends up in draft in 2017

I am confident that his plan was to go 10-2 or 11-1 this season and land in Atlanta with chance to win SEC. But just getting to Atlanta, not necessarily winning SEC, was his spring board to making an NFL run. That is his ultimate goal, NFL head coach.

Butch Jones is about as close to an NFL coaching job as I am.

Larry said that back in the summer as well.

Butch's strong suit....recruiting, program builder

Butch's weakness.....in game coaching

Not exactly screaming NFL HC material to me.

It's a possibility. And I know GFW is no longer the insider he once was. But I still respect HIM as a poster and what he brings to the board. Even in his now ex-insider position. I know he still knows and saw some things from back when he was an insider which could be relevant to some of the stuff happening now. That's the only reason I would be wishing to see what was said. To see for myself if I could believe it. Still, curiosity does increase when a poster like GFW says something like he did.

Don't worry, Butchna. I'm not giving any credit to De1. You can put your pitchfork away....for now :).

Butch will never be an NFL guy because his offense won't work as well there like Chip Kelly, and if he allegedly can't deal with 5 star attitudes here how does he expect to deal with a bunch of Odell Beckhams and Dez Bryants in the league?
