10-3 can't be used against him by many teams on the recruiting trail. I know two teams who won't be able to use it and that's Georgia and Florida.
UF can sell back-to-back ATL appearances and UGA is still in rebuilding mode under Smart. GA recruits are extremely loyal to him at this point. He would have to lose out to take a hit in recruiting.
What does Butch have to sell now? He will finally put some guys in the league and end the draft drought, but that's it.
Lynx, great posting today.

:salute:
I haven't posted a lot this year about our staff/team, etc., but as usual, the media that covers UT plants seeds in peoples minds trying to unravel potentially nonexistent issues in the program. That is par for the course during a three-game skid in which the most recent loss was the worst namely in the Jones era. In the process, they create rumors/problems that simply don't exist, or they fuel the rumor mill.
I think there are problems with this team and this staff. Depth at certain positions is an issue. Injuries are a major issue this year. Consequently those injuries magnify the issues with depth. I think the offense in the past two games has been an issue. However, to reach and say that "attrition" is also a significant issue is just piling up a little nonsense and throwing stuff at the wall in hopes that it will stick. I had to chime in on all of that.

Every 20 minutes or so on arky radio I have to hear something like "but at least we aren't a dumpster fire like tennessee. Butch would have been exposed long before now if he had to play in the west like Bielema. You don't hear about these internal issues here at arkansas like tennessee has"
Brutal radio week for me
I'm starting to believe what De1 said about concussions is only a myth. It doesn't exist.
Butch just needed one big season and the program could have mostly stayed out of the crosshairs for a while. Even going 10-3 this year will do nothing to change the narrative. He had to win the East (which is still possible, but very unlikely).
He will remain "Botch Jones" for another 11 months minimum. It's sad. I like him and want him to succeed.
