For those who don't venture into the FF, here's a note from Jalen's mom on FB. Classy of her to do this, IMO:

"While it was not my choice for Jalen to leave Tennessee (and we were adamant about this), this is a decision that he put a lot of thought into and certainly did not take lightly. It is not my place to discuss his business and the reasons that he’s decided to transfer, but at the end of the day, he believed that it was best for everyone. People are mad, hurt and very upset, and I understand that. Yet, the reality is if you don’t know what he has been through or what he is going through now, then it is very easy to speculate & judge, make up lies & rumors, or heaven forbid, actually believe them.

Jalen has chosen a different path. We don’t always agree with our children’s decisions, but nevertheless, you love and support them through it all no matter what. Thank you to all of our family, friends and Vol supporters that were so kind to us today. We are so thankful and appreciative to the University of Tennessee, the coaching staff and the wonderful fans for all the love and support throughout the years. Many blessings and much success to you all. 💕"

Wow that's pretty impressive considering people are bashing her son. It's hard to not get mad when people attack your family. Interesting that they were against it. I wonder if his dad in Cali had a lot to do with this

Nick, I love your posts but maybe you should stay away from the car and mechanic posts? I thought it was a good analogy but as usual it got car-jacked by the restless natives..

Glad she posted that. We don't always agree with decisions our children make but that is a part of growing up. I've experienced this first hand this year. Sometimes you have to just pray they make the right decision for themselves.

This has been a roller coaster ride for everyone. Can't imagine what she has experienced.

His mother is amazing. He is blessed.

On another subject: Does anyone remember (after Dooley firing) Fulmer offered to bring Chavis and Petrino with him.. Just something I thought about with so many wishing they had Petrino.

No I don't and don't recall him being considered at all

highly doubt Petrino would have considered an OC job.

It wasn't that long ago he had the motorcycle incident, and was at WKU. (all you have to do is search twitter, it's all over there)

That said we also thought we were getting Gruden.

Much respect, ma'am :hi:

If team gets under 200 yards passing we should win every week. The CBs actually did not play bad. Everyone magnifies any catch on a CB but they didn't play bad outside of Buchanan. Martin didn't have a bad game. That off coverage versus a slant with NO safety is a TD on any CB.

Martin's effort coming out of the doghouse is much appreciated. Consistently was down first on special teams. Should've had a downed punt on the 1. Also wasn't getting whooped on the edge in the running game.

The defense did not play bad at all. This game was on the offense

Saturday was a bad loss. There is 0 room for that again with this schedule, and injuries don't cut as a valid excuse against these teams

Lol. In many context sure but damn almighty in this context it is cut and dry. Dobbs has more rushes per game this year than last. You can't spin that it is a cold hard fact.

That is a fact. But that fact doesn't mean the coaches have schemed for him to run as much as last season like you're implying. Like I said before, you'd have to take a much deeper look at designed runs and zone read plays to determine that. Just lazily looking at rushes per game doesn't give enough information to come to that conclusion.

For someone who has claimed to be a professor, you sure do get confused easily.
