First of all, you asked if they were at least in year 4. Stoops has excelled at OU. Now, he is past his prime? Second, I saw an earlier post suggesting Dan Mullen as a possible replacement. He had his team ranked #1 two years ago. What gives?

There is always some excuse. As Nick said, there are inexcusable losses every year.

Dan Mullen is an average coach that cashed in on having an excellent QB. Butch is average as well and maybe that's the accepted standard at UT now.

Urban loses to Penn State? OU loses to Houston, who loses to SMU? Mississippi State losing to South Alabama? Baylor losing to Texas?

By the way, there aren't many SEC coaches that have been there more than 4 years.

We were the "hunted' this year. Every unranked team superbowl. Not use to that.

And what's wrong with mechanic three since that's the hand he's been dealt with?

If the car is not working right but just happens to work better than the other truck in the race, who had a flat on their road trip through Arky and Louisiana State, we'd be riding this car along and fix whats needed in the short term
Who is the other truck in this scenario!

Chad Morris is a guy I'll be keeping my eye on for the next season or two. He's got a good track record thus far and SMU is one heck of a rebuild.

If his teams keep improving, he'll be making a big jump after the 2017 or 2018 season most likely:zeitung_lesen:

With 4 less turnovers we could be 7-1 even with injuries. See anyone can play this game.
Luck and making breaks is involved every year. No Stoener fumble, then no National Championship.

Guess we are watching different games then. It's laughable to watch some of y'all predict scores for our games. Then some say one bad game we played??? Guess y'all wasn't watching Ohio, App St, GA, A&M, SC, and don't say a word about the beat down Bama laid on us, and it could've been worse:

Man y'all need to take off th glasses. I'm a huge fan, and spent my time in the trenches, left my blood, sweat and tears on the hill and what we have rite now is straight GARBAGE. But maybe I'm just blowing off steam. Just sick and tired of the product we put on the field and the people we hire. Seems like our AD just sits back and does jack SH*T. While other teams actually upgrade and spend money.

No passing game what so ever, Oline is BLOWED off the line by far inferior teams. Pretty much the only bright spots are the Dline and just like you stated "LUCK".

Until the fans demand we open our pockets and get someone in here that is creative and demands nothing but the best instead of feeding their own ego, this is what you will get as a result.

I do apologize for the rant, had a couple of beers with some fellas and just had to get some stuff off my chest. I talk to several past guys and we are all sick of it. Period . So please accept my apologies guys and gals, sorry if I offended anyone

If we don't win the East, I bet he doesn't get extended again this year. That's two in a row. Lose any more games and he probably won't get a pay bump, either.

I agree with this. If CJ can get things straightened out and win things will take care of itself. I do hope first of all he rights the ship and wins out this year. Change OC and let them run the Offense but I just don't know if he is willing to give up on his system.

Opened the door to a kid dressed in a #32 SC jersey carrying an orange tote decorated like a juice box and a knife smeared with ketchup. The name on the back of the jersey said "GUILTY".

I asked him where his glove was and he said he must've dropped it. Gotta love Hollywood.

From Jalen Hurd's departure latest blow for fading Tennessee Volunteers - SEC Blog- ESPN

With the offense a mess, the defense, which was hit the hardest by injuries, has been mostly solid -- outside of the Texas A&M and Alabama games. If anything, Tennessee's defense should be holding this team back, but it's actually superseding expectations, while offensive coordinator Mike DeBord admitted to not seeing a lot of what opposing teams have run in games on film.

That comes down to making adjustments -- and the defense has adjusted to injuries better than the offense has adjusted to its opponents.

say what? Does anyone know where Debord admitted this? If true, that is really just inexcusable on so many levels. You cant just have your own scheme and think you can run it with impunity. Maybe that is why its hard to make half time adjustments?

I agree with Ace/MetalVol whoever wrote that long post. The quote gesture got messed up somehow.

The product on the field since the very first game has been embarrassing this year as a whole..outside of a few halves & the aTm game. Well even the aTm game was embarrassing with 7 turnovers.

Zero reason that should be happening in year 4.
