Would be hilarious if we start running I formation with Kelly!

Kind of have to wonder if they won't. I mean IT DID work against North Western really well.

Maybe we know the reason why it wasn't used more this year now. Want to have an attitude? Fine. Not only are we not running the I formation....now you get to sit on the bench....or transfer....your choice.

The better question is why is he not running early. Seen too many first quarters where Dobbs didn't even have a carry. Early in season at least. There's no reason we should go to OT with App St with Dobbs have near zilch carries in the first half.

Soooo, you have no idea this spread option is about the QB reading where the option is? We don't have a ton of designed QB runs here.

Most D's have kept Dobbs honest where possible and take their chances with the RB handling the ball.

Read up on it sometime, maybe. :hi:

JG is the future.

No doubt.

Yes, he is.

Future of this team, offensively. Along with John Kelly, O-line should have better depth, and better coaching. WR's as well.

I think we will see Mahoney and probably Debord gone after this season.

Schedule sets up nicely.
should see another 9-10 win team next year..

Until he goes 9-3?[/QUOTE

Without some breaks, we are 2-6. Can't say otherwise. We are an average team that got lucky, a bunch!!! Not saying we aren't talented but we are just too damn predictable

. Don't wanna hear about injuries. What, other teams are fully healthy? No,they game plan, they adapt. We run the same 10 plays on O, or it at least seems that way. How many of y'all can predict what plays we run? I'd say we, as a group would be in the 50-70% Range on guessing what is called, and that's from a bunch of FANS!!!!!!!!!

There's also the fact that Butch has injury excuses to fall back on. He simply doesn't strike me as the type of coach who will flail around in a death spiral until he gets fired. He'll move on before that happens. Just like Cuonzo did.

There's also been plenty of smoke that his wife doesn't like Knoxville and hates the critical fanbase/pressure that Butch is under. Most of us dismissed it, but at this point it seems like every negative rumor ends up being true.

The problem with this is that Butch's current contract will make it extremely hard for most schools to buy him out.

It's was painfully obvious they told him not to keep them. They were effectively handoffs with no threat of a run. Get a fuqin clue.

Imagine Guarantano with Cutcliffe, Mullen, Petrino or Herman.

The humor in this may get lost, but great post anyway.

1. Ziti, you've redeemed yourself from last season :hi:

2. So... most of us had this as a 2 loss team. One bad loss, and everyone's lost their minds. Good thing no one else has ever lost a bad game in a season. :zeitung_lesen:

3. Everyone thinking we could beat Bama with a skeleton squad suddenly thinks that we are guaranteed to lose against the slaw left on our schedule. I hope our players have more sack than our fans. Still looking at 9-3... but let's just burn down the house.

4. Florida can absolutely lose to Arky, and I would favor LSU over them. Could still get to ATL, which was the goal, but the USCe game takes away all the joy of the season I suppose.

I am always shocked at how people fail to listen to what Butch and his assistants say when they explain things. He explained it is a gap scheme run game a couple of years ago. Many of the handoffs to RB's are designed to be straight hand offs and not reads by the QB. It has the look of being zone read.

Not saying it should work. I think his thought process on it is flawed and it wastes a lot of plays.
