I wonder how many five-star athletes Butch Jones had to deal with at Central Michigan and Cincinnati this may be where he has his problem dealing with these five star athletes and their mindset as compared to a one or two star athletes who don't usually come in with an attitude

That would explain why he doesn't seem to be recruiting them now. :)

Looks like you have joined the elite company of Cat, InVol, and I in the purported nega stable because of your lack of agreeing with those coach loyalists that know they are right, even when they aren't.

Dobbs has around the same number of picks and fumbles as he does TD's passing and rushing and a sub 60% completion rate that is worsening. That's his body of work. If folks are happy with that, oh well.

I'm right there with you guys. The writing is on the wall with Butch & this football program. I'll support the program but it's literally the end of Dooley's tenure all over again.

I'm a happy go lucky kind of guy & always in a good mood in real life. If people want to paint me as a negative person & the doom & gloom type over this, it is what it is.

Hindsight is 20/20, but you have to think now we'd have been better off as a team had CBJ let Hurd walk last December when he wanted to.

Could have went after a Juco back and leaned on Kamara and Kelly as the primary backs. No lockerroom cancer.

Dobbs hasn't progressed as everybody had hoped and has regressed the past month. I just wonder if CBJ shouldn't open up the competition. Maybe it would motivate them all. If Dobbs is our best option-- and he probably is-- then maybe it lights a fire under him and restores his confidence?

We're really lucky Dobbs hasn't been injured. Our backups probably have the least gameday experience in the SEC.
Before season it was the passing game. Can Dobbs throw the ball better than last yr and take that next step?

The answer is simple. No

And for whatever reason it doesn't seem like he has made as many plays w his legs this season.

Honestly, never been a Dobbs fan. Don't mean that personal of course just as QB. I am troubled that QD seems to have not impressed the coaches to threaten Dobbs for starting job. Unless of course we have another situation like Kamera and Kelly who only because of Hurd situation got a chance to shine.

Not really a nega. I just want CBJ to loosen up a little and make some changes. Some of it's on the players and their execution, but I believe in tweaking the system when and where it would give players the best chance to succeed. And I do think he needs to make some staff changes. Like ASAP.

I've gotten to where I don't think staff changes will help. If we're running his system, you could have elite staff everywhere and still have issues. Our players look more lost on offense than any other team I watch in Saturdays.

I hate to say it. Reading my own words even sounds ridiculous. But I really am worried about the Vanderbilt game. Their style of play will keep the game close into the fourth quarter and I just have zero confidence in our offense right now. People keep saying 9-3, but Tennessee may very well lose 4 games. Nothing is certain right now.

You're right, he hasn't taken that next step. And now the coaches don't trust him to throw because of his TOs and they don't want him to scramble because he could get hurt. They weren't this conservative last year.

At this point, Dobbs is what he is. Just turn him loose and see if we can't win out however we can.

One at a time. We'll have our hands full w KY and Mizzou too.

Would ND consider CBJ if they let Brian Kelly go at the end of the season. Wonder if any other open jobs would consider him n gets him out of the SEC pressure cooker that is more than he anticipated.

Hey, wait, it's Halloween! Maybe Hurd leaving and removing his name from the roster was just a trick. CBJ punk'd the media.
