I guess the media is off limits when it comes to civil discussion. When someone says they aren't doing something, they usually mean it. I get the whole "I just have to ask." But some media members act like Jalen Hurd sometimes- that they deserve an answer (and I am not saying this about AP; just in general).

I get that, but everyone is just fed up with a ton of things at this point and we keep hearing and seeing the same things and nothing new.

Butch was adamant during the presser that Dobbs is the QB. I don't see him making a change this season but I guess he could always prove me wrong.

You're right. That's true.

My point is, the players have gone out there and made plays to win a lot of these games, despite the coaches consistently failing to put them in position to beat these lesser teams, which they have been. No excuse for a lot of those starts, gameplans, and coaching decisions despite the 5-0 start. The players won in spite of the coaches, or they simply got lucky.

The difference these last 3 weeks is a lot of those big playmakers have gotten hurt, or the ball has stopped bouncing our way, which was inevitable. That bad coaching has caught up.

I don't think the players won in spite of coaches or were lucky. They executed when they had to. I think Dobbs has had a lot of turnovers and mistakes look at the last 3 weeks compared to the first 5 that has contributed to where we are and our defense as decimated as it is haven't gotten any turnovers. Is it coaching is it bad decisions. I think it's all of it.

If Butch can right the ship and win out, I'm not sure 10-3 and 2nd in the East is that much different/worse perception-wise than 10-3 or 11-3 with another bad loss to Bama in the Dome.

But winning out will be difficult unless the team is galvanized by Hurd's departure. The lack of DTs is extremely concerning now.

I think Shoop will be able to cobble together a front 7 with all the DE's we have. No one else we play in the RS has a great running game or even offense for that matter. The bigger problem is the Offense not only can't consistently move the ball but is a turnover machine. My fear is they just can't fix the O and we drop a couple more games. Someone on the O side of the ball has to step up and be a leader. If Dobbs could he already would have and with Kamara out I just don't see who can. Hope I'm wrong

I'm pretty sure Catbone has correctly predicted the W/L record each of the past 3-4 seasons.

He may have been the only poster calling 9-3 before the season.

Before the season I think we all expected Georgia to be a much better team which brought 9-3 into play (I thought we'd go 10-2 with losses to UGA and Bama).

We also didn't expect VT to be very good and they are proving to be a really solid team.

If we win out the season won't be thought of as the dumpster fire it feels like right now. And if things break our way we can still back into ATL.

Sure you can. Your roster is loaded with talent and you're doing everything in your power to squander it and give games away. It shouldn't be required that your players bail out your inept coaches week after week with huge comebacks and big plays late in the game. Your coaches should be able to win games comfortably and maximize your talent and advantages. These guys simply have not been able to do that since they got here. They only win when they have distinct talent advantages, and even that is not always a guarantee (clearly).

Players bail out coaches? You do realize players play the game and not coaches. The only miracle was Georgia. That wouldn't have happened if Foreman hadn't let riley get behind him. You never let them get behind you. Where do you think our talent level is? It's definitely not Alabama, it is better than SC, but we did beat FL and Ga and have a chance to finish 9-3. I believe that's where our talent is at he moment

Why do some of you think CBJ will make changes in the upcoming weeks? He just had a 5* starter leave the team because the coaches won't gameplan to allow Hurd to run it out of the I to give him a few extra steps. He just announced, very definitively, that Dobbs is our QB and will remain our QB this year-- despite Dobbs' declining productivity and ongoing TOs which directly contributed to the last three losses. I'm sure our unhappy backup QB heard that loud and clear.

Sounds like "my way or the highway" to me. I'm curious why some of you feel differently.

If he takes it that way then he can gtfo out as well

I was determined to stay out of here after Saturday. When the Hurd news broke, I came to see what was up.

I think a large portion of the fan base is in desperate need of one of these:

So much speculation.

Hey buddy. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

I'll frankly be shocked if this team goes 9-3, and even if it does, it won't mean a thing except another meaningless bowl game against a Big 10 team in maybe the weakest year the SEC East has ever been in my life time. Woo hoo.

Tbh I just expect to lose 1 game each year that we shouldnt.

You see, without the huge talent advantage, which has been wiped out with all of the injuries and player defections, we aren't that tough to play against. Our offense is extremely easy and predictable to defend, and our defense is banged up beyond belief and wasn't even that dominant when healthy. This team is going to struggle to win the rest of these games. It just is.

UK has been running the ball pretty well. They may give us problems if we have to trot out a 4 DE front.

You originally said the media here is a bunch of babies. I do agree, but I gave you am example from today (Price) who did not act like a baby (IMO). That's what I was answering.

Your thought on whether or not it was right for Price to keep asking those questions is different from mine and we can keep it at that.

When I say a bunch of babies I am referring to how they whine about accessibility and their inflated view of their self worth.

You are referring to them being chickens.

I heard it, and have said several times today, his ego will be his downfall... he can try and salvage the team by meeting with them and owning up to the mistakes and issues and promise to do whatever it takes to right the ship and get the team back on board, positive, and focused... but I think the idiot WON'T....

Things are never as good or bad as they seem. But when you have your starting RB about to break the all time rushing record quit mid season, it's ignorant NOT to think something is very wrong.

I for sure think there is something very wrong with quitting mid season.

Fans have all kinds of opinions on how the game should be coached/who should be on the field.

It's interesting, because I was listening to Georgia radio, and they feel that it will take a few years for Kirby's teams to kick in and be good.

Very ironic--This is the team that Mark Richt won at least 9 games.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm glad that we are winning games and going to bowls again. We didn't magically get here. Butch Jones worked his ass off.

We have heard from good sources that there will probably be changes (big?) in the offense in the off season.

That's all you can do at this point.

Anyway, I can't believe what I've been reading. Butch doesn't deserve to be fired, at least right now.
