Also, I'm sick of people saying Florida was somehow lucky

We ran them off the field in the 2nd half. There was absolutely nothing lucky or fortunate about beating that ass this year.

The South Carolina loss is still much more concerning than losing Jalen Hurd IMO

I can't recall a worse game from Dobbs. This offense (along with most offenses) is totally predicated on the play of the QB. We can blame Debord all we want, but when your qb is skipping passes and throwing into triple coverage, you're doomed.

You can do better. There have been good high points. But, they are two plays from being 3-5 and they rank in the back half of CFB on team O and team D with terrible turnover issues. They may be mediocre because of injuries or system, but they are mediocre. They started the season that way and are now clearly that way.

It's up to the staff and players to rally and change it.

Are they elite? No. Are they mediocre? I just don't agree. I simply don't care how a team wins a game. No one remembers how a team wins; just the wins and losses. Sure, the Carolina game is inexcusable. But, the negavols will pounce. It's coming, and I won't be surprised if people root for it to happen. It's my alma mater, and I want to win everytime. We shall see, but even going 9-3 won't appease some people. It is going to happen.

And they ran us off the field first half.

I don't think it was so-called luck either, but with the hole we dug ourselves, just about every play in the second half had to go our way. It ended up doing so, but it's not as simple as we had to pull away from them second half.

No, 9-3 won't appease me. Call me a negavol if you wish.

The same can be somewhat stated about them the last 2 years.

Who the hell quits on their teammates in the middle of the damn season I don't care what we think about Bush but this right here is a cowardly move

I wonder also how much effect Hurd had on the team because Dobbs looked totally out of it.

Last year yes. Not in a 9-3 game in 2014.

We dominated them at 9-0. They had to get a strip sack to get close to the endzone and then hit a 50 yard FG with 0 on the play clock to win. Yes, some things had to fall their way.

But even so, it's not like what we did this year was something other wordly.

So you see this happening, which also happened against Bama. Do you stand on the sidelines and watch it happen so your team can lose to a bottom feeder, or do you trot your #2 out there and give him a shot. Maybe he does better, maybe he doesn't. Maybe Dobbs gets the message, maybe he doesn't. But the #2 is a different style that can throw the ball and you have JJ, Malone and Wolf to catch the ball. As HC you have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. Other HC's have made that move successfully - it's not a new and bold move.

Didn't happen.

He was terrible. You're right- gotta have much better play from the QB.

Still, two weeks for the staff to prepare for a garbage Gamecocks team with a High School senior at QB. Pathetic loss.

Surely he is better than the high school senior that beat us right?

To be fair, I wouldn't bench Dobbs unless the game is well out of hand. He has engineered (no pun intended) some nice comebacks this season. But I would make sure DeBord changed the gameplan into one where Dobbs started running for his life and for the team's season.
