What thread is 34 posting in? And is anyone asking him what the hell has happened to the team to have played so bad Saturday? Was the Hurd drama affecting that too? If so, Butch should have showed Hurd the door during the bye week knowing how important the USCe game was.

Honestly though, what does it matter if we finish strong? Saving face against a few peripheral rivals is all. No important goals are really left from the beginning of the season.

I don’t think today’s news is bothering the #Vols locker room as much as most seem to assume.

Exactly. This is my biggest concern. If we looked like world beaters when we were healthy, I think everyone would feel a lot better. But the truth is, we haven't played a full 4 quarter game yet. Not even close.

I'm not buying that Hurd is THE reason this season is falling apart.

Unfortunately this news is distracting everyone from what should be the discussion - looking like a mediocre team for most of the year and losing to a piss poor SC team.

I am hoping they come out today united, have the best practice, and focus on winning Saturday. Hurd leaving may be the best thing for this team. I will be watching and supporting these guys Saturday as we get back on the winning track.

This kind of post(I agree with btw) is exactly why today's news is good for CBJ. It takes away from the massive failure of Sat.

Yeah. Without even delving into what could have happened with ASU, we are a lottery-odds play away from 4-4. Even the Florida game required an unlikely sequence of events occuring to win.

The shine has come off the turd. We aren't very good, and we haven't been all year.

The SEC Office on Monday announced television plans for games of November 12.

CBS has exercised a six-day option for Nov. 12 games. The following games will be held for selection by CBS, ESPN and the SEC Network on a six-day selection: LSU at Arkansas, Auburn at Georgia, South Carolina at Florida, Kentucky at Tennessee and Ole Miss at Texas A&M.
