I couldn't stand the guy and all I am saying is that he did constantly talk about Hurd not being happy with the way he was being used and about him wanting to leave.

I thought the team actually looked very good in 2015. They just ran out of gas in the 4th quarter and Butch coached scared too often. But the effort and discipline were there. The team as a unit looked extremely well-coached.

But now the team just looks sloppy as hell. I know that injuries have played a role, but the team was healthy vs App State and looked sloppy and weak there too.

Brings back memories of the josh Malone recruiting thread when a poster claimed Malone didn't like Hurd because he wasn't a team guy. Boy that poster was crucified.

Who was that poster?

I think because of the situation Butch inherited, he had to allow for divas like Hurd to exist to a degree. That's his prize recruit and he is from a very important recruiting area.

Up to this year, we have always played disciplined and played hard. That is the sign of a well coached team. Something is off this year and I believe it to be an anomaly based on prior years.

Do I think Butch is Saban? No. But I still have hope he can be Dabo. Rome wasn't built in a day and I think he can still get the job done. He isn't afraid to make changes. He has proven that.

I am still backing him.

Yeah, and the results were the same. I agree, 2015 was the best we have looked under Jones, but still could not translate that to success in games against higher end opponents.

VFL34 bringing the heat in the FF. Goes along with everything being brought by people concerning Hurd's attitude and ego.

I firmly believe 74 was an intentional plant to stir up the fan base and bring heat on Butch and his system. Whether Butch should have tweaked his system is beside the point. What VFL34 is bringing says it all.
