I saw Richmond on the sideline at one point and he seemed engaged and interested. Might mean nothing, but here's hoping

Hurd can spin this any which way he wants but this is one of THE MOST selfish moves I've ever seen from one player...and that's a list that includes Kelly "The Future" Washington and D'Rick Rogers.

For those of you who were on campus or remember all the rumors that surrounded Washington, that's as bad as you can get.

I never condone quitting mid-season, just saying Hurd had plenty of success and was on pace to break the all time record. He's not "the 3rd best back on our team," he's arguably the best back in Tennessee history given what he accomplished his first 2 years with a pitiful OL and a scheme that didn't even match his skill set.

I can believe the misuse of him has taken its toll on his body. I can also criticize him for not finishing the season.

And what about his attitude? What about his actions and what he said during the GA game? Kamera and Kelly are doing just fine in the system. All we are hearing is Hurd's side of the story but as you know there are always two sides and his character or lack of showed up when he quit on his team in the middle of the season.

I thought his comments after the Alabama game were interesting. Made it sound like recruits were not allowed in locker room after game. May have been problems boiling over after that game.

Chase's dad had been hinting for a couple of weeks that UT may be looking at higher ranked players. I believe that is what that comment is stemming from. Could be wrong though.

After this weekend, I doubt we have as many highly ranked players looking at us.

We can't get out of our own way.

Butch is the CEO. He has allowed this to boil over. If he had the attitude rumored should have benched him or kicked him to the curb.

Nothing or no one comes before the program

At the end of the day, he still signed up for this offense. I don't feel bad at all for a guy with an ego like that. It's sad

Odd seeing people call Hurd selfish. He's not being used correctly. EVERYONE sees it. So he makes a decision to find a better fit elsewhere and it makes him selfish. He should just tread water in an offense coached by guys who don't seem to know how to utilize the talent while the fans say he should stay because we need depth at RB, as his draft stock plummets. Who is selfish? LOL

I get that he's sacrificed his body, played hurt, etc but show me ONE starter that hasn't done that this year.

He's abandoning his team, I really don't care for the details, that's the cold, hard truth.

Finish the year, and hire a TE coach to prepare for the combine.

Go and tell scouts you want to try TE. They absolutely would have loved the idea, and taken him there.

Hurd isn't an isolated incident is what scares me. We lose 2-3 from our 2 deep every year it seems. These are guys who are playing regularly. That doesn't happen at other programs.

Can someone point me to the origin of the "Hurd quit and had to be voted back onto the team by teammates and was forced to sit out the A&M game" comments?
