I remember a similar situation in the past: Petey quit on his team and Coach Yoast didn't want him back, but Alan knew Petey was the better DB and was needed to win state. So it was Alan's decision to put Petey back in.

Well, this program is certainly never boring.

Personally, I think boredom is underrated. But if you need excitement, the Vols are your team.

If you want to be a professional, then you have to act like a professional. What if he gets drafted by a team that doesn't quite fit him? You play the damn game and play as a team. Not much sympathy from me.

Why would a team draft someone that doesn't fit them?

There are a lot on here with a much higher football IQ than mine, and I could be way off here. But how much of this actually has to do with holes and vision? I'm not sure I see any holes and how can you find them when you are swarmed under 2 yards behind the line of scrimmage. Could it be because Kelly/Kamara are more shifty and can shake those defenders that are already in the backfield and get to the second level? Is it a good system if RB's are consistently asked to make defenders miss in the back field?

I've seen Hurd either bounce it outside when the hole was there and I've seen him miss the hole and go into the rear end of our OL too many times. I'd be surprised if he was never called out for that attitude if he truly has it.

Man I was looking for him. Must not have paid close enough attention.

I was at the game so that may be the difference. Not sure how much he played, but I do remember him being out there at one point in a lineup with DB at the other end and Vickers and Phillips at the tackle spots.

They might draft him for situational reasons or for even another position. Or, he might get drafted by a terrible team, whose OL can't run the ball.

He has been a part of a group that has turned around the program. Should be proud of it instead of pouting. Again, if you want to be a professional, then act like it. He won't get far in the league if he quits on his teammates. Very simple.

What's Kongbos Twitter? Just tried to look him up and found what I thought was his, and it said no longer existed...

Reminds me so much of the downfall when Dooley was here.

Inexplicable loss to an awful team, people quitting, rumors of the program in turmoil, team meetings etc.

Just unbelievable really.

There have been weird vibes coming out of this program for a few years now (Mack crowder punching incident, title 9 and all that came with that, now all of these new reports). I was hoping it was all bs, and I'm sure some of it was, but now it really does look like there was fire with all that smoke

Who is saying that?

All I've seen is media guys saying they have no idea about anything with Kongbo and that they are trying to dig and find something

Just said they didn't deny it but wanted to note they were bringing attention to it.

Tennessee's season continues to jump the shark.

At this point I'm not sure if a new coach or any new coach will make this university good again. It seems like to me there needs to be a philosophy change in the way athletics are run at Tennessee. I feel like butch is the coach and in charge of the X's and O's but somebody behind the scenes is pulling strings and whoever the coach is will always have one arm tied behind his back so to speak.
