If we were to make a change, this would be a great, natural choice for the program. He's had some success in the League and it'd be interesting seeing how he'd fare here.

No way an nfl OC would drop down to college unless he got fired.

I really doubt we change OC. Biggest problem I see is our inability to throw to open WRs. It's been that way his entire time here.

Our OL outweighed Appy State's DL to a man by at least 50 lbs, yet they took them to the woodshed. This goes beyond Dobbs's inaccuracies. The entire scheme/system just has way too many flaws.

That TD was miscommunication which is why it has been said Nigel has not played more. He has mental lapse in judgement from time to time and that was a perfect example of both of them going to cover the same guy. Seems Warrior is the one who blew it.

If they knew they had him in there and has this problem time to time then why on gods green earth would they called a switch on the 2 receivers on that side he was on the inside and worthless Moseley on the outside and warrior did not switch. I think Moseley is as much to blame as warrior and more about it is either shoot or Martinez screwed the pooch on that one

"While he may have some minor physical issues, the biggest issue there lies elsewhere. I'm not going to say much more than that."

just_a_vol on 247 on Hurd.

Do these kinds of things happen to other programs? Starting WR and RB so unhappy that they quit or act like this? I'm trying to tell myself it's just because we follow UT so closely.

Confirms what many have thought about Hurd all along.

He has not hit a hole wide open all year. He goes 1 to 2 steps and goes laterally left or right every time. You look at Kelly and kamara and it straight on. The hand offs are too deep for him and his vision is awful right now. Look at bowl game and then look at this yr and has not been the same guy all yr long.

Texas A&M's two starting QB's transferred last off season, and Sumlin was a dead man walking.

I might get flamed for this, but... I'll reserve judgement on Hurd. I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to have that much talent only to get swarmed under behind the line of scrimmage on 70% of my carries because the blocking scheme is garbage. He's gotten every yard he has virtually by himself. If at this point, he's decided to save his legs for the NFL, then I don't know that I blame him.

He has missed too many holes to be on any sort of pedestal. His vision sucks and he has yet to own it.
