I've been a Butch guy since the beginning but that was embarrassing. There need to be multiple staff changes for him to be successful. I love loyalty but Debord and Mahoney need to go and Butch needs to let someone control the offense. Instead of a CEO qb, we need a CEO head coach.

He picked a bad time to lose a game like this with the new AD about to come on board. This isn't the year for a change with so many big jobs open but next year will be scorching hot for him.

The entire offensive staff except Gillespie and Scott need to go. They've had long enough.

It would really restore my faith in Jones if he were to make wholesale coaching changes this offseason. Here's where I can appreciate Hart's insistence on hiring assistants to no more than 2 year contracts. if I'm not mistaken, this is either year 2 or year 4 for everyone but Shoop and Scott. So buyouts should not be an issue.

I'd like to see him start by hiring an experienced and successful OC and letting him bring his own playbook (spread or pro-style, I don't care as long as the OL blocks aggressively and they can develop a decent passing game) and let him bring in all his own guys, maybe keeping only Gillespie. Then send Martinez and Thig packing and let Shoop hire replacements there.

I still think Jones can potentially be a great head coach, especially as a CEO/selling the program type head coach. But to be successful as this kind of head coach, he must also prove to be adept at firing and hiring assistants. This offseason would be the best time to prove himself in that regard.

We had more talent and got outcoached. If it's a pattern, then it will be corrected...by Butch or by those above him. He's transformed our talent base and raised our standards...now he has to live by them. Losing to South Carolina was indefensible...so I won't.

And how many Hail Marys? You think Muschamp didn't peruse the Georgia game film?

More than one I'm sure.

Game film? It was a Hail Mary. Sure it had some design but pretty standard.

Hell, we would have had a better chance of throwing it under and trying to make a few misses.

This was worse than the Dooley Kentucky loss.

How do you have a team like what Butch has with 2 weeks off and lose to a horrid SCAR team?

Butch team is far more talented than the Dooley team and has an SEC East crown to play for. Veteran playmakers and a decent defense. That's a flat out horrible loss. Worst coaching job I've seen since being a Vol fan(started in 1992). Easy thing would've been to line up and run dead up the middle with Kelly since he was gashing them. But nope no way that was too easy. Smh DUMB

The program is at a crossroads right now. Either we keep doing what we've been doing with the personnel we have and hope for a better outcome... or we start making strategic changes right now with more changes in the offseason. One is insanity; the other is risky.

Or we lower our expectations to avoid conflict and change, which has not worked out well for us in the past.

And if it had a little more distance this would have been a "brilliant move". This was a horribly coached game...you don't have to reach like you have in the past.

Will Muschamp 5-0 against Tennessee.

The loss is so terribly bad and inexcusable.

We lost to what should be a senior High School QB.

Dobbs was terrible.

Genius D coordinator still calling press man with DBs that can't cover a house plant.

Lyles days could be numbered.

Give me a new OC, and I'm ready to roll. I've given Debord some leash, but we need to see something happening on offense.

Butch has to turn a hot OC loose, and I think we are ready to roll once Shoop gets to play with starting defense capacity players.

What would game film have to do with anything?

Preparation? Kinda matters? They would have shot Jennings in the knee. Everything that worked against Georgia?...wouldn't. Can't believe you asked that question.

Reach in the past? Okay.

I'm reaching on questioning a 58 yard FG with a kicker that is about 33% beyond 40?

This is it. Butch can be a program CEO but he needs to make a move now. Show the media, fans, and recruits that mediocre results are not acceptable by firing Debord and Mahoney. Open up the offense, let players have fun, and find great replacements.

There is no way we were going to make the playoff with the amount of injuries on the team.
