This was a bad loss, but not as bad as that UK game.


That QB is a lot better than the WR at QB UK played against us. Muschamp is a better coach than U.K. Had at the time. You say he's bad, but the guy knows defense and has gotten a team to Atlanta before.

Yeah. Ky and vandy are playing better football. We don't match up well vs vandy at all. They are a physical football team. Why anyone would think this team can beat up on anyone is beyond me. They haven't done it all season.

luckily for Dobbs he won't have a tough decision on his plate in the spring. Chase my passion in aviation or nfl. You ain't going to the NFL home boy.

on another note, I wonder if the curriculum this semester is too tough for Dobbs to fully focus on football.

First year at a ran down program. Starting freshman and walk ons. Don't down play this loss. Its just as bad as the ky loss. This was suppose to be jones' year. Year 4 with better talent in all positions.

Maybe so, but it is at least close to as bad. We haven't lost a game where the talent discrepancy was so broad since the Wyoming game in 2008.

Someone please look up the last time we lost as a 14+ point favorite. What makes it even more unforgivable is how much was at stake in this game and this season overall.

We should do him a favor and let him focus on academics the rest of the year.

Leaving Kirby Smart out of it because he is new, Outside of the Vandy, Mizzou and Ky coaching staffs, is there really any argument that can be made that Butch and co are better than anyone else in the league? I don't think so at this point.

Tennessee has the 2nd best program in the history of the SEC, but has only the 10th best coaching staff. That doesn't add up.

Someone mentioned Dobbs being by himself a lot and not getting everyone up on the sidelines ECT. Remember VT game when it wasn't him but the backup SJ doing it. PW and QD seemed tight. Could the divide be some loyal to Dobbs and others to Q?
Usually team divides are about that one position.

why would i prefer to back into atlanta? because i'd like to see a 1 by vols name above our rivals and with victories over them in the season. we beat them on the feild and standings. i like it

If y'all think the AD is gonna get rid of butch any time soon you are seriously mistaken. In case you forgot, we have one of the WORSE ADs dept in all of sports. Atrocious how they done pat, Phil, they hired kitten, and dools. I know that was a different director but still same dept.

We are stuck with butch for at least another 3 years

Yes, we should be 2-6 rite now. Every team had us against the ropes. We just got lucky is all

I really wish we would have won the East. Having said that, whoever wins the East is just a lamb being led to the slaughter.

Undisciplined, unfocused, unprepared, inexcusable. Coach Jones and his staff really should be ashamed. This was Dobbs' worst game since he has been a starter, but it should not all fall on him. The offensive game plan has handcuffed us in several games this year. I will never not be behind our players or our current coach, but something has to give. I have not lost faith in Butch, yet, but I am in wait and see mode to see if he stays stubborn or if he makes some very necessary changes. I am not sure what those changes are, but what we are doing is not working.

The worst part about last night was learning that butch jones really never will get us to where this fam base wants to get. He'll probably be our coach at least another two or three years but he's not the long term solution to get us back to being elite.

By the way I was at the game and when I would look towards our sideline I just didn't ever notice any sort of energy. This team did what we all feared, but never expected, and bought into the hype. They got complacent even though they haven't proven anything. Really concerned to see how this team finishes.

I've been a Butch guy since the beginning but that was embarrassing. There need to be multiple staff changes for him to be successful. I love loyalty but Debord and Mahoney need to go and Butch needs to let someone control the offense. Instead of a CEO qb, we need a CEO head coach.

He picked a bad time to lose a game like this with the new AD about to come on board. This isn't the year for a change with so many big jobs open but next year will be scorching hot for him.

Is this the injury report?

Hurd concussion (or back) on the targeting he took early in game that was never called.

Tuttle I'll assume is out for season because that is our luck.

E. Berry ?

T Byrd appeared to injure shoulder on play where Hurd was speared.

I miss anyone?

What's bizarre is this team is so unlike CBJs other teams at UT and elsewhere. Always been competitive and aggressive, great to start games, great off a bye, disciplined with limited penalties. This team is the exact opposite.

I am almost 100% positive that Florida will lose once more and only once more and twist that dagger even deeper on what might have been. Although, if we play any more like we played last night, and that is all too possible, that dagger will not be twisted because we will finish fourth or fifth in the East.
