your single recent data point isn't carrying much weight because everyone else is actually aware of the last several.

Don't have time to cover all the same ground with you yet again. Just reread the old posts. 12=12 no matter how hard you try to change that.

congratulations, you ignored the information in the post as well as you do the whopping losses on the football field. nice trick.

we'll put it right beside the "whew, Vandy missed a late FG so we're still the best TN team in the SEC" trophy.

No, we should put it beside the one the basketball team is getting for this season after losing by 19 in the Sweet 16.

Winning the National Championship is a function of superior performance on the field as well as luck. Sometimes an undefeated team is left out of the mix (see Auburn 2004). Usually, someone is left out in the cold when the formula designates one of a handful of 1 or 2 loss teams as the chosen one. Winning your own conference is the one thing that every school can absolutely control. 1998 was great but nobody can really expect a national championship. Exepcting to win the conference more than once every 9 or 10 years, however, is not an unrealistic expectation.

Just waiting on the new 'buzzer system' for any new information. Looks like the same old drivel to me.

what? The SEC champion trophy the basketball team is getting? Is that what you are referring to?

why would we be putting basketball trophies in the football trophy case?

Oh, nevermind, you're trying to mix basketball and football again to prop up Fulmer. Then you're going to turn and act like I'm the one doing it. My, you are clever.

Does UT even have a trophy case for men's basketball?

surely you'll follow up this type of stupidity with something new. have you actually ever supported Fulmer with something original. best I've seen is refer back to your entirely contrived and nonsensical 12s comparison.

You guys do think alike. Same old stuff...:whistling:

I've given you guys enough to debate for today.

you sure have, we'll be arguing about the value of 12 and the men's basketball trophy case until football season. Well done.

It appears to be a concept of enormous complexity. If only it had been a prime number like 11 or 13 it may have made more sense.:dunno:

Simple, Sound, and Supported logic.
