Hurd??

It was my understanding after watching the game Saturday that Hurd was the one who asked Butch that his injury not be disclosed. If this is the case this story is "debunked"

That has nothing to do with following Concussion Protocol.

and they get their info from ?

Patrick Brown of the Chattanooga Times-Free Press said his sources are from within the program.

Program sources indicated Hurd is essentially dealing with concussion-like symptoms and, after missing significant practice time this week, hadn't passed the proper medical protocols to be cleared to play on Saturday. His status moving forward remains uncertain.

I didn't see any hit that looked like a concussion, except maybe the one where he was pulling grass out of his helmet..

I had three concussions in high school and only two of those really showed up on film. The coaches and I watched the tape from the third concussion multiple times and never saw a play where it appeared to happen. The lack of of a hard hit to the head does not signal the absence of a concussion.

Its time we start a few "Saban to Texas" threads I guess :)
Actually, seems I heard he was going back to LSU to replace coach O.
Sports reference also says hes "questionable" this week with "concussion-like symptoms" ...

Doesn't mean concussion. Headache, dizziness, nausea, ears ringing, etc. I've had ALL those symptoms watching the last 3 games we played; but, it wasn't from a concussion. JS

There's a thread on TOS and a video on 247 with Brice and Rucker both stating that Kamara told them today Hurd would be back for Bama.

You know this how? For all we know he didn't start having symptoms til after the game was over. Quit guessing with this bs.

Agree. Not a med pro. But I do know concussion symptoms can show up later with headaches (like the next day) or vision problems. Everyone is talking about him playing at the end of the game. Have they forgotten the TD pass to him in the 3rd qtr. Saw no trouble with his ability to see or execute at a perfect level on that play.

Haha. Question is, did you ever have those symptoms from a "lower body injury"? Also, Sports Reference AND the Chattanooga Free Press (Patrick Brown) said he had a concussion.

Ever get hit real hard in the nads? I can presume that that would be lower body, some lower than others.

I do not usually start threads, but I received this from a friend and I am curious has anyone heard this?

I apologize if this has been stated in another thread.

This is something that should have never saw the light of day on volnation. I would just assume you delete now. Our team is working hard to get ready for the Bama game. The team and our coaches shouldn't be worrying about rumors like this going around! Go Vols, Beat Bama!!

I have had those same symptoms for 20 years, since the first day of marriage. :hi:

Absolutely, had those symptoms for lower body injury. As I
cleared the line of scrimage, I was blindsided, and got my D**k knocked in the dirt. :)
