That is interesting about Hurd- goes against what his uncle said for sure. If true that was a risky move by Butch that could have cost us the game- however if true a great teaching point to the rest of the team. That stars do not get special rules. Right now I'm more interested in Kirkland and JRM. It sounds like JRM is probably played his last game for us. It's such a shame for him and Cam. We desperately need Kirkland this week. What is the latest on him?

VQ said he has been running and will start cutting again this week.

My guess is that he may play sparingly on Saturday and be full go for Bama.

My favorite part is it show Lane when it talks about white trash!!!!

I know, I rarely push a video but that was truly, just so well done lol

Oh, and "from Charlie don't you know", funny.

Say what you will about Butch's coach speak; resiliency, composure, character, etc. This team embodies those characteristics and we would not be 5-0 without Butch preaching it day in, day out.

Yes they have been on Game Day 3 out of 6 weeks but each location was different. Bristol, Knoxville, College Station. Big Difference. Haters gonna Hate.

If it had been a Dooley team that got hobnail booted 2.0 on Saturday, I would have turned the game off. But credit Butch Jones and his guys for making me believe in a comeback.

At first I thought we might have a chance that Evan could house it. Then when he got out bounds, all I could think about was Aaron Rodgers' Hail Mary last year vs the Lions. They defended it terribly and Green Bay's WR boxed out just like Jennings did. So I knew there would be a chance. And before the play happened, I start remembering a bunch of other recent Hail Marys I had seen over the past few years in CFB. I sure as hell didn't think we would come down with it, but I knew there was probably a 5% chance.

Years of battered Vol syndrome have caused me to have a slightly delayed reaction when something good happens because I'm ALWAYS waiting for a flag or a dropped pass or something crazy to go wrong, but the instant I saw Jauan get control of the ball, before he even hit the ground all the way, I nearly hit the roof. I guess I know what it's like to shoot up heroin now, because that play gave me a huge surge of adrenaline and just sheer jubilation. I was literally running laps around my apartment while my fiancee watched in amusement.

Every time I would pass the TV I would stop and watch for a few seconds and the whole scene just seemed surreal. We actually had dinner plans with another couple about 20 minutes after the game ended, and I kept making excuses to go to the bathroom just to watch clips of it on my phone and read about what had just happened.

Unbelievable.

If true what LWS said that makes no sense though. He scored another touchdown after that and ran through the end zone- didn't do anything stupid on that TD. And had a good run again then went to the sideline with his helmet full of grass. When exactly did he mouth off?

Even if true, this is the kind of thing we are better off not even knowing about it. Sometimes these days we as fans know too much. We don't need to hear every detail about the inner workings of the program.

Better off not knowing in some cases.

Hope Hurd is ready to go this Saturday. We need him.

The AMOUNT of stupid in the middle post... I guess fla and uga weren't ranked. Osu played ou on fox (espn isn't promoting that). #4UM played #8wisc when #5clem played #3ville

One guy said "you can follow Tennessee around like the Greatful Dead for all I care just get rid of that horrible theme song"

Priceless

Jalen was the first guy on the field off the bench. He's ok and I'm ok not knowing.

Football is intense. You can get caught up in the moment.

I'm a Hurd fan. We roll with number 1

I remember him being way off on the DC and on the switch to Nike.

I think the guy just gives his opinions on things and people here assume it is always coming from a special source.

Or he wil regurgitate info from other places. Like, someone asked him about Kirkland and he just stated what VQ reported today. A bunch of people assumed that info came from a special source and that he is connected. It didn't, it came from VQ. Those folks apparently just don't subscribe to VQ

unbelievably (for some), i understand the concept. Throughout the 34 years that i neanderthalled my way watching and seeking to understand the game, i picked up that if you run a different scheme (offensively and/or defensively) than an upcoming opponent, you'll place a similar athlete to one you're preparing for at that spot on the scout team. Maybe a db that was a qb in high school yada yada yada. In that same time frame (cept when i managed to make first fire), i don't recall our team announcing one of those players switching positions...they'd just simulate in practice. So thank you all for the it takes a village approach, but i have this one covered. On to tony with you. :hi:
しょっぱすぎるだね!(^。^)
