CBS analyst: Vols will win it all this season

We would most likely have to beat Bama TWICE....I dont see it

I think the Gumps have to lose 3 to be totally out of the picture, and they don't even need to go to the SECCG to get into the final 4. Wait till the tied for 3rd best team in the SEC jumps the SECCG for a spot and the supposed champion goes to a normal bowl. :)

Best case situation, LSU/Ole Miss beats the Gumps as well, but even in that case I don't think the Gumps will be out of the picture. Either way, I don't see the Vols being in the dance if they lose more than 1, and that 1 better not be in the SECCG.

The Vols can lose 1 during the year, but they'l then need to run the tables through the SECCG.

I need to see 2 things first:

Beat Florida
Dobbs shows he can complete 15 yard passes consistently.

Bama is at the point of diminishing returns. It doesn't matter if they win more national titles under Saban. Their recruiting is already at a higher level than anyone else and will continue to be. I think UT can reach that level under Jones if he gets a ring, though.

I agree.

Some of you don't understand the meaning of the word PREDICTION.

Once the season starts and we get to see how the teams look, predictions become less meaningful.

For example, if we destroy Florida and Dobbs looks great passing the ball, then your prediction will be meaningless at that time since everyone else will also be saying Tennessee is going all the way.

Either say we're winning it all RIGHT NOW, or keep your mouth shut the rest of the way.

Obviously you don't understand the meaning of opinion. He has a right to his, and to post it. Either understand that, or maybe you should zip it😁

I got Tennessee, FSU, Oklahoma, and Ohio State in the playoff.

We beat Ohio State in the Peach Bowl. FSU beats Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.

We defeat FSU at Tampa.

I have the same four, but I had us beating OU in the finals. I have had to eat crow for a year because of that blown game I went to with my Oklahoma-loving buddy, and we need to avenge ourselves on the biggest stage!

Not sure why everyone is extremely high on FSU this year. Besides Dalvin Cook, who do they have that's a threat on offense?

michigan absolutely has an easy path to it's post season. so does OSU, so the winner of that game, basically is in.

FSU/Clemson seem like they're on a collision course again, so the winner of that game has a leg up.

the Pac12 is wide open...i think it's up to UCLA and Stanford.

and then the SEC champ. i still think Bama and LSU are at the top, TN next, followed closely by Ole miss, FL and you could pick from GA, aTm, Ark...

OU should win the Big 12.

so who gets left out? i think ultimately it could be OU. right now, i'd take Stanford, Bama, Michigan and Clemson/FSU. CLemson/FSU i think wins it all.

Just the same as the run Pete Carroll had and still recruiting at a high level but his longtime coaches started leaving....it is real simple.

Nick Saban is a dying star. A tiny white dwarf headed for a black hole. That's physics. It's inevitable.

It is simply the nature of the beast.

Those predictions MUST be based upon an improved passing game. If that part of our offense doesn't improve then it will look much like last year's and that isn't gonna get us to the CFP.

Many of us must actually see that improvement before making such a bold prediction.

I don't care what anyone says....there ain't enough steroids in the whole state of Florida for every QB on the Gator's roster to save the curb stomping that is long over due this year.

Hate on that....say you have to wait to see it....it is coming...it is this year....ole' DERELICK has never been this confident about this game in 12 years as I am this year. It is going to be so ugly...gonna look like that 2006 UT vs UF game in Florida but the score is gonna be flipped. 59-20 us....if that offense can even score 20 on us...and we ride the momentum to the promised land!

Watch out for USC in the Pac 12. Bama will be their only loss regular season imo
