After watching that gif:

giphy.gif

That was actually a pretty good little Netflix show.

I think it's called "Stranger Things"?

Edit: talking about your gif, not Mock's weird ass gif.

I'm surprised at how NOT-cheesey Stranger Things is.

Like, if you wrote down the plot in an objective, generic form, it might sound like a 90's B movie or a contemporary SyFy C movie. But it was written, filmed, and acted out so well, it was absolutely gripping.

I'm almost thankful for the summer cold I got a couple weeks ago because it allowed me the time to watch it. Great little series.

Agreed. The young actors in that series were incredible.

Now I may be late to the party, but I thought I read something yesterday where Butch said in that press conference that this recruiting class will rival our last two?

We snagged Ty Chandler and Maleik Gray. We're still going hard after Akers, Trey Smith, and who else? What's going on with Gibbs? What other blue chippers are we in good shape with?

TIA

Very fitting analogy. I started watching it, thinking it would be cheesy and figuring I probably wouldn't make it through the first show.

It hooked me quick.

I think my wife told me they are doing a second season, Not even sure you can call 8 shows a season, but whatever. I'm guessing if they do, it will be a total different story maybe? Not really sure how they could/would continue the same one without ruining it. Could be wrong though. I was wrong in my original thinking of this series.

I believe he said the 2016 class. It helps when Warrior and Byrd are instant contributors.

He was talking about the current freshmen class. Byrd, Calloway, etc.

Strong offensive identity... With a first time, defensive-minded HC, a star RB coming back from devastating injury, and a true freshman QB..

Say they have talent, sure. I even like Jim Chaney at OC. But to say they have a strong offensive identity with that many variables is trash.

Florida has a stronger offensive identity with Del Rio at QB.

Agreed.

For the secondary, I am ready to see if it was Smart or Saban that had the secondary at Alabama the way it was. My vote is Saban. I would think their secondary will be better this season, but it wont be something magical at all.

That offense is a train wreck right now. Chubb and Michel both coming back from injury, no WR's that have stepped up, no QB that has stepped up and really became #1. Chaney is the best part of that offense right now. And it isn't even close.

Problem is Chaney could never establish any kind of running game here, even with a O-Line full of NFL talent. He tends to get really pass happy. I was a little shocked he was picked to be the OC there

On DJ Henderson:
He's been banged up some this camp and has been in a green jersey. He's in a very competitive situation with some talented guys and is fighting to try and be in the mix to be in the two deep. He has to show more than he showed in the spring or in fall camp if he's going to be a factor.
