Battle at Bristol Uniform

I don't know if they have announced what we are wearing but hopefully we come out in one of our base uniform combos so we can show them up without going to something new.

We are wearing orange jerseys since we are the home team. Va Tech was told they could wear any color combination other than their orange jerseys.

When do y'all think we announce what our uniforms will be and what do you think they will look like? I'm hoping for the traditional orange tops and white pants but just figured this could be something fun to discuss since its close.

I created this thread because VT has apparently unveiled their uniforms for that game via one of their recruits, which I assumed would be against the rules. For those who want to see them here is the link.

Virginia Tech Battle at Bristol Uniforms Revealed
Well they will look good getting Drummed by us! I hope Vols come out in all orange.

This all day. It doesn't matter what they wear, the beat down is coming. I am for the regular home uniforms,it shows we just wanna take care of business.

That's exactly how I see it. And why would we want to wear cheesy garbage in the biggest football game of all time?

I'd like to see orange on orange sometime just for a change, but I really don't care what they wear as long as they win.

It's hard to say a team who has the 15th most wins in D-1A history and a former coach who's top 10 all time in wins in D-1 history doesn't have any tradition in the sport.

VaTech was a small college team until Jerry Claborne went there in the mid-1960's. On the level of VMI AND William & Mary. They would have made Vandy look like a major football powerhouse.

Well it's been a good while since the '60s. I think 50+ years is a big enough era to change tradition.

Haha, man, I see at least 11 different "uniform" jerseys just in that photo:

-- Solid black, high-neck
-- Solid black, low-neck
-- Solid black, v-neck
-- Solid black, deep v-neck
-- Horizontal double stripes, white, no break
-- Horizontal double stripes, white, button-up break
-- Horizontal double stripes, gray (or other medium tone color), no break
-- Sleeve stripes, thin, 7 per side
-- Black high-neck with Power T on chest
-- Black v-neck with Power T on chest
-- "Yale" v-neck with double neck cords and unidentified chest design in medium tone

11 uniforms for 17 fellows. Now, which one were you thinking? :)

The landscape of college sports was vastly different decades ago. There was no such thing as P5 schools; we had Sewanee and Tulane in the "mighty" SEC for years. I wasn't aware that a program could only have tradition if they were a good program pre 1950. We need to take FSU off the list of all time great programs since they didn't even start football until 1947.

No kidding. Those 3 NC's don't mean a thing.
