I have a question. I spent the last few days in the hospital, so I've been out of touch with the news, but can someone explain to me why Michelle Obama felt the need to talk about slavery in her DNC speech? If I'm not mistaken, wasn't slavery outlawed like 150 years ago, and wasn't the key motivator a Republican? Seems like a ploy to be divisive, imo.
